Streaming Videos with Wowza
Hey guys, I have been using wowza to stream my videos inside my members area with elevatedx. I am now trying to stream a file on my main directory and i can't seem to get it working (with wowza). Is it possible that wowza can't stream files from my main directory the way its set up now? Can it be configured to stream files inside a folder and no files outside that folder? I wasn't the one that set it up so is it possible that its configured to stream my members/content folder and not the whole domain?

If you use a good host they'll be able to look at that for you.

I assume you emailed wowza already with your question. You should check with your hosting company, most of them will just get it working for you..

Check the file permissions.

I figured it out. It was infact configured to stream a file in any directory so that wasn't the issue. My main index page is inside the /tour/ folder and thats the page with the trailer but i wasn't able to use trailer.mp4 or the full path to the file because you have to guide your streaming server to the file like so: /tour/trailer.mp4
Only with a streaming server would that have been an issue. |
