Films you have heard about, but never watched, and then...

Watched some time after they have come out, and thought... Why didn't I watch this sooner ?

I will start - "The Big Lebowski"

You?

TheStout 12-19-2011 11:11 AM

Same. Watched the Big Lebowski for the first time about 2 years ago :error

Donnie Darko

SexKey Scott 12-19-2011 11:20 AM

The Human Centipede

candyflip 12-19-2011 11:32 AM

The first Saw.

I avoided it at all costs and when I finally got around to watching it...I thought it was fucking brilliant.

That said, I have not watched a single one of the other movies in the series.

The Prestige w/ Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Michael Cane. Directed by Chris Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception). It looked like a boring premise but it is extremely smart and pulls an amazing trick on the audience that I will never spoil for anyone. EXCELLENT movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482571/. Wish I had seen it in the theatres.

You may want to watch it 2 or 3 times. Not because its exciting (its not), but the very last second of the movie fucks with your head. When I went to bed after watching it the first time, it stuck in my head. I was thinking "What did he... how did they... hey, didn't they do this...". I had to get up and watch the movie a second time just to watch for clues and WOW they are all there. Highly detailed movie (don't blink even once!).

Can't recommend this movie enough.

American Beauty when it came out. Avoided it mainly due to the name... then i watched it and became a big Spacey fan.

I can't think of a single one.

CurrentlySober 12-20-2011 02:34 AM

Donnie Darko and "a serbian film' are the only two mentioned that I have not seen yet...

I saw this in America and I thought the ending was telegraphed massively throughout the movie. It was really obvious to me, maybe because I am a magician, who knows. But honestly, SO MANY of the audience on the way out were saying they didn't understand the movie at all. Very funny.

PS I have a client who has just bought your cam software and he absolutely LOVES it.

Same here except I had the exact opposite reaction to it. I was annoyed by it as I watched it, then as the first part of the ending came around with the guy poisoned I thought it redeemed himself. Then the killer gets up from the middle of the room and and I actually started to laugh at how ridiculous that was.

I haven't seen any of the others either.

I was kind of the same way. Just what I had read and seen about it made me think I wouldn't like it. Then I ended up renting it and loved it.
