Do you get your mail carrier anything for Christmas?
I have had a the same mail carrier since I moved into my house. She is always nice and knows I work from home so if I get something delivered that is too big for the box she always brings it up to the house instead of leaving the note and having me go to the post office to pick it up. Every year I give her a car with a Starbucks gift card in it. I was telling some friends that they other day and they all thought I was crazy.
Am I the only one that does this? |
I give my mail carrier cash. good guy.

i see them as part of the income chain...they bring you checks or other valuable items for business...tip em :)

mine changes nearly weekly

I was going to until about three weeks ago I watched her drive into my trash can and knock it over. instead of picking it up, she PUSHED it down the street on the front of her USPS truck.
bitch ended up cracking the top where the lid goes. I might buy a new one and give her the receipt for xmas |
Worked in the mail stream, your intent will not fall on deaf ears.
|
I tipped the newspaper guy when I used to get the paper. coffee or gas station gift cards work well.
|
No not a chance. They are overpaid as it is.
USPS is one of the worst run organizations in the country. Mostly due to the salaries and benefits they negotiated in good times and now can't deliver. |

Will give her cash.
I also give her a bottle of water on hot days. Which is about 307 days out of the year. For as long as she's been doing this you'd think she'd carry water. She doesn't. She always act like you giving her a bottle of water will save her life. |
Cannabis, which they stole any way

I never see the mail carrier; but, I tip my Ups and Fedex drivers who I see at the same time everyday throughout the year.
|
Nope,I keep the dog in until he delivers is enough of a gift
|

I poo in a box, gift wrap it, and leave it for him to find...
|
they havce been told that they cannot accept tips/gifts (in the uk) as it could be considered a bribe or somthing.
