reminds me of theat idiot that tried to pass a bill that required all bb guns be painted bright colors , like pink and yellow

When I was a kid my neighbor had a bb gun. We were about 12 when one day he took a pot shot at one of our other neighbors. She was so far away he thought it would be impossible to hit her. He ended up nailing her right below her eye and she was blind in one eye for the rest of her life.

When I was a kid, damn near everybody I knew owned a BB gun or a .22 rifle. We also used basic common sense and safe firearms handling....Although I once shot myself with a BB dead center in the palm of my hand. That was the day I learned not to put my hand over the muzzle when opening the BB chamber.

At the end of the day, a BB gun comes with the same responsibility as any other. Either you're taught right and use it correctly or you don't belong owning one.

Excellent story. There are actually quite a few stories each month of law abiding people using guns successfully to defend themselves, but they almost never get any media attention at all, certainly not the national press....

The problem there is people period. Has nothing to do with guns. If they didn't have the gun they would have slashed tires with a knife.
