Ron Paul Can't Take The Heat About Racist and Anti-Semitic Newsletters

PAUL: I never read that stuff. I was probably aware of it 10 years after it was written. And it's been going on 20 years, that people have pestered me about this, and CNN asks me every single time. When are you gonna wear yourself out? When are you gonna do that?
BORGER: Is it legitimate? Is it a legitimate question to ask that something went out in your name?
PAUL: And when you get the answer, it?s legitimate you sort of take the answers I give. You know what the answer is? I didn?t write them. didn?t read them at the time and I disavow them. That is the answer.
BORGER: It?s legitimate, it?s legitimate. These things are pretty incendiary.
PAUL: Because of people like you.
BORGER: No, no, no, no. Come on. Some of this stuff was very incendiary. Saying, you know, in 1993, the Israelis were responsible for the bombing of the World Trade Center.
PAUL: Okay. Goodbye.

lol, what else needs to be said about it?

It's obvious what the media is doing.

Can anyone find something racist coming directly from Ron Paul's mouth? Doubt it.

His entire philosophy that he has consistently stood by for decades proves that he is not racist, it's impossible to be racist when you believe in liberty and freedom for everyone.

cykoe6 12-21-2011 06:30 PM

This is why I have always said that Ron Paul is not a viable general election candidate. If the Republicans nominate Ron Paul then Obama will sweep all 50 states.

porno jew 12-21-2011 06:33 PM

so he had no idea what was in newsletters that were put out by him under his name for 30 years? that is complete bullshit.

at the least his a serial liar and at worst a closet bigot and anti-semite. no way to deny that.

I hope he gets the nomination! This election is getting interesting! What a race that will be!

porno jew 12-21-2011 06:36 PM

pretty obvious that he wants to get rid of federal laws so that states will be free to enact laws against gays, blacks and women. only the ron paul cultists are unable to see that.

Ron Paul actually has consistency and good character. Very rare for a lifetime politico.

What the president of the NAACP in Austin Tx has to say about the newsletters:

kane 12-21-2011 06:44 PM

While I don't think he is a racist, I think he is guilty of being caught being apathetic and is now trying to deflect. You have to assume one of two things is true. Either he knew what was being written in the newsletter and let it go, or he didn't know and only found out years later. If you feel he isn't a racist and the first idea is correct, then he was a guy who at the very least traded on and knowingly profited from racism and now he is trying to deflect so that he doesn't look bad. If he really didn't know then he is guilty of owning a media outlet and not being aware of what is being published under his name. This means, to me, he is an disengaged manager. Sure, I can understand that he might not read every single word of every newsletter, but he should at the very least know what is going on with it because in the end it has his name on it so he must take responsibility for it.

Personally I think he knew what was being published, but believes that everyone is entitled their opinion so he let it go and never thought it would come back and bite him in the ass. Now that he is the front runner in the first state in the primary election the spotlight is shining brightly on him and all the junk from his past is being pulled up and questioned and he is feeling the heat. The heat withered Bachman, Perry then Cain. Now it is Paul's turn to see if he can stand the heat.

shocked that a ron paul drone is using youtube videos to prove his point.

porno jew 12-21-2011 07:00 PM

of course he knew what was in them. to believe he didn't is extremely naive in the least. the reason it keeps coming up is because the media doesn't believe his denials, which is correct.

racists understand the code words when he talks about state rights and the federal reserve.

that some blacks are supporting him doesn't prove anything but some people are naive and misguided.

It's all part of Ron Paul's duplicity. When pressed he dissembles - look at how Ron Paul twists meanings and parses words in this clip, and ultimately avoids the logical extension about what lies beyond his demagoguery:

Many people are not aware about Paul's newsletters (since outside of the cult, Ron Paul is still regarded as somewhat of a kook), so in that respect, it is relevant news today. And anyone that has ever worked for a newsletter or newspaper knows that someone must know who wrote many of the incendiary articles called into question that were printed in the Ron Paul Newsletter, in Ron Paul's name, which Ron Paul (a career ideologue) as Editor made millions from.

Maybe Ron Paul should refund the millions he made from the Ron Paul Newsletter, if those weren't his words and he now disavows them (now that he is on the National stage and has to play to a different crowd).

As if that is ever going to happen - just like his old crony Lew Rockwell, Ron Paul is in this for the money - it's a cult/fringe group style shakedown. He's so proud of his Libertarianism that he doesn't run as a Libertarian (lots more money to be made as an unelectable Republican). :winkwink:

Non-racist Ron Paul wouldn't even return the Stormfront Neo-Nazi donation. :disgust

http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/2696...ssassinate.htm

Jules Manson, a former candidate for Carson, Calif. city council and an ardent Ron Paul supporter, has been caught calling for President Obama's assassination-- or, as he puts it: "Assassinate the f***ing n****r and his monkey children."

One site to which he's affiliated, RedPillLiberty, depicts President Obama's face superimposed on Adolf Hitler's body, mustache and all, and features Manson's rants against the Federal Reserve, a common target of Ron Paul and his supporters.

StickyGreen 12-21-2011 07:08 PM

You can't choose who supports you and who donates to you. Trying to label someone as racist because a racist happens to support them is ridiculous. Ron Paul addressed this issue in an interview before and he explained it much better than I can.

You guys are fools with all this racist nonsense, nothing but a distraction from the issues that actually matter.

This country is in big trouble right now. Ron Paul has the answers, but you don't want to talk about them, you want to talk about some 20 year old newsletters that he didn't even write. lol, so lame.

But what do you expect from a bunch of porno industry idiots who are trapped in the 2-party paradigm to begin with... defending their "party" no matter what?

When I first heard about this I immediately called BULLSHIT!

BUT, you have a point that is hard to argue against.
It's really difficult to explain the length of time that passed without him "knowing".

I mean, people write "letters to the editor" and why wouldn't he want to see some
feedback to measure the sentiment of his audience?

If he ran the paper to make money only then "Hey, how is it going?"
If he ran the paper for political reasons only then "Hey, how is it going?".

Somewhere in there he is going to get the negative feedback I would think.

And what's really more telling than the time frame, are his inept responses to the
questions about it. He comes off as trying to "protect" the ideas expressed, by
using simplistic dismissals.

It seems like he doesn't prepare for the questions because he doesn't care to.
Why wouldn't he care about someone writing bullshit under his name and making him
out to be something that "he isn't"?

I would be pissed.

lol, this is the best one... wtf does Ron Paul have to do with this man simply because he supports him? Does Ron Paul even know the guy? Uhhh, no.

Do you know how many people voted for Barack Obama? Millions and millions of people. At least a few of those people were drug addicts, gangsters, racists, etc. Does that automatically make Barack Obama any of those things simply because a few of his supporters were? Of course not.

especially when it seems like stories on black people running amok terrorizing cities seems to be a continually running theme for decades?

as a black man what do you think of these "reports?"
