The team that was attacked by a 'fan' went of the field and didn't return.
Now they must decide what to do.
The team left the field cause the felt their safety wa'n't granted and the red card.

No it wasn't. The coach pulled the team and they left for the locker room. Usually the other team gets the points of you forfeit.

Ref should be suspended. I don't care what UEFA or FIFA rules are on this, the keeper is entitled to defend himself when somebody who shouldn't have been on the field attacks him. The ref should have taken both teams off not left it to one team to do it.

I think Holland should now be removed from Euro 2012 to show that such hooliganism won't be tolerated. If this happened in England you can be sure Platini would be pushing for it.

Now if we can just organize getting the same thing to happen in Spain, Germany and Italy, England are looking good. :)

So what is your definition of "defending"? The attacker is drunk, misses the keeper, falls down. In Holland some say... the keeper could have walked away. The keeper has some responsibility as a role model, young kids and not-so-bright-adults may copy his behaviour. Then you might say that's ok but then you know why you have so much trouble with hooligans and rioting in the UK. I think in Holland people usually are much more tolerant towards each other than in the UK and it would be nice if it would stay like this for a long time.

The verdict today is that the referee did the right thing and at the same time the red card was cancelled, and the hooligan offered his apologies to the keeper. In the end Ajax is to blame for everything because these hooligan was already banned but somehow he still managed to get into the stadion.

If the game continued the other team would have a man advantage acquired in an absolutely non-gameplay related reason, therefore making a fan directly affecting the outcome of the game. So if i am an Ajax fan and want them to win, i can jump the field, get my ass kicked by someone from AZ, get him sent off and directly help my team win?
Thats total bullshit. The security should have taken care of this matter, not a ref.

Something similar happened in Romania some months ago, a hooligan came on the field and punched a player in the face, and the other players completely kicked the shit out of the hooligan, can someone post a Google link please? Would love to see this :)

No he didn't. The hooligan attacked him so he had the right to defend himself.

Rules told that is red card... but goalkeeper for me did the best :)
