But.. Ron Paul published racist newsletters though. Has a huge archive he refuses to release publicly.. Probably because of racist newsletters contained within them

StickyGreen 12-22-2011 07:52 PM

And people wonder why the U.S. is going broke and trillions of dollars in debt. lol

The troops in the majority of said countries are embassy guards...and are not "bases" per se. In addition prepositioning and the ability to project military power in force any where in the world is what makes the U.S the only military super power in the world...and that is a good thing for Americans.

Actually it's not a good thing for Americans.

Because our foreign policy creates what is called "blowback," and people end up attacking us because of it. Ever heard of 9/11?

DaddyHalbucks 12-23-2011 12:08 AM

I'd rather cut government social programs to the bone than neuter the US military.

Ending the World Police and bringing our troops home does not mean neutering the US military. If anything it would probably make it stronger.

"Blowback" is the cost of being the worlds only superpower...and is an irritant at best. Ever heard of "the greater good"?

The governments of our allies do not hate America...for if they did they would not be allied with us...and that is all that is important.
