Ok, I am a junkie, my teens made me watch last year and I became a junkie.

I think this show rocks. So unless you watch it don't talk.

I voted for Patrick last night. Simone chewed him a new ass for his outfit, but I thought it kicked ass (there!!)

He can also sing.

Simone said that he is not an American Idol (he is overweight and black).

I say he can sing, has a great personality and is a good guy. And god damn its about time that teens quite looking at those skinny ass guys and girls as role models.

Even my daughters think he rules. They did however think that Bettis was "cute" but when he opened his mouth my girls had a laughing fit, he truly sucked.

Kimberly has the looks but no personality, she seems very shallow.

Edited - Simon is a punk, however he is the one who is going to chill out the money and after watching 70,000 people singing I be rude too (not that rude but still)

That Simon guy just tries to say the rudest thing that is on his mind at the time. There isn't much depth to his character.

Having watched it last year and again this year I think having the parents backstage is a total mistake. When Patrick's dad came out to 'defend' his clothing style, I felt bad for the kid. This is about the individuals, not the family.

Simon rocks. So what if he's rude? These people have more than likely had their asses kisses to death by their family and friends (and Paula Abdul) and having a total stranger give their honest opinion about them is refreshing. So he didn't like Patrick's outfit. Big deal, he's a judge. Besides, its the public that votes in the end.

There was a girl that graduated from my daughters high school last year that tried out this year.. She was told " we don't need another Kelly Clarkson ".. She is actually better than Kelly... It's a bit said she was cut cause she had that same dark hair look as Kelly..


My youngest daughter is a singer so we have the show on...

There are 34 contestants now, I believe. They are going to have I think 4 more shows like last night until they get into the final rounds.

They are reaalllllyyyyyy trying to drag this one out!!

I definitely think Charles & Julia. If you look past their obvious clothing issues, their voices were by far the best!

Ive never seen the show. All network tv is shit.

HAving the family their is stupid, confusing, and just adding to the drama of the show.

I am really dissapointed in the supposed better talent pool this time around.

You can have your opinion about a good singer but these guys aren't comparing to the talent of kelly clarkson or the other top singers in music today.

I refused to vote for anybody in the show last night, and am hoping for some talent before the top 10 is picked, or I just can't go on watching the show.

Last year a few of the final 32 were from the Seattle area and one of the final 10 (Aj Gil...who I saw at the mall right in the middle of the competition, it was so exciting lol) so this year I'm kinda bummed that they didn't come here for auditions...

In the first 8, I voted for Trenyce and JD.

I was surprised at the 2 chosen, and so far am disappointed.....I remember last year with each 8 really struggling to decide who to vote for and almost every single person I chose made it into the top 10.
