If you do not mind gray market... http://www.prestigetime.com/brand/hublot.html
Or check on collectorstime.com. But he only has one Hublot right now.

You can also go to http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php...rm_id=86&rid=0 and search for someone close to you.

The first one above, note that the watches usually come without warranty. They are the real thing, but the original warranty is missing basically. This is because they are not authorized dealer of any brand. Which in turn means they do not need to sell at full price. They source watches from a network of authorized dealers which give them overstock and such without passing along a warranty so they do not lose their license from the watch company.

Collectors time btw is in Singapore. Gray market WITH warranty! He is very known among watch enthusiasts online. Ships fast and usually no issues, not sure about import taxes for you of course...

Have you ever heard of http://www.watcharena.com ?
They have some great prices, are based in the USA but the only down side is there are some sketchy comments when I google them.

Where is the fun in that lol.
Seriously there is only 1 local and the prices are outrageous.
They will not even knock 10% off

If you are still around. I know you are a watch buff. What do you think about the corum ones ?

If yours won't, mine will for you. I think that's pretty standard.

An older friend friend of mine is a watch buff and is very happy with his pirate Corum. It's just a fun watch for him, but I asked the same question and his was either that version with the diamond bezel (might have been yellow gold, don't remember).

I have a guy in NYC if you are interested.

Lace 12-24-2011 08:32 PM

Those are some ugly watches. Speaking of watches, I need to get my Movado fixed. I love that watch :(

jimmycooper 12-25-2011 03:58 AM

ASW has a good watch forum. Or at least they did 2-3 years ago.

http://www.asmallworld.net/

Here's a good place in NYC. Not sure if they have any Hublots.

http://www.midtownartsandantiques.com/

If you're ever in the city, you can also check out all the shops in the Diamond District on 47th between 5th and 6th.

I haven't seen very many Movados that I've liked.

I really Franck Muller but only as 2nd or 3rd watch as it's best to have something more minimalist like a Cartier for everyday wear.

This one is nice.

Oh, and bring cash if you go to the diamond district. Maybe don't bring it initially, but be prepared to get when you find something you want to buy.

datatank 12-25-2011 11:08 AM

That is one of the beautiful things about a watch. People have different taste.
What you say is ugly others love. So wear what makes you happy.

datatank 12-26-2011 09:27 AM

bump for freedom of watches

Nathan 12-26-2011 10:15 AM

I personally do not like corum. I usually only buy high-end complicated watches though.

I have no hublot, but there are a few I like. My favorite brand is jaeger le coultre, but I also have a patek that I like a lot.

I gave this thread to someone here I think that can help you some. Maybe he has the time to reply...

barelist 12-26-2011 10:28 AM

Hey datatank,

Fabian just emailed this thread to me...

I've been in the luxury watch business for about 8 years now... was a partner in a large watch site forever, but recently started a new company with a good friend in town.

Here's our site... still has tons of work to be done. Basically it's still in proof of concept right now:
http://goo.gl/4eiej

The rest of the features and content should be going up over the next few months.

We only have one Hublot in stock right now though, it's a King Power F1 in Rose Gold... but we can get just about anything.
http://goo.gl/8Q4ER

Hublot is a great choice BTW... just behind AP and Patek as my favorite brand :)

Send me an email at [email protected] if you have any questions :thumbsup

CheeseFrog 12-26-2011 11:54 AM

Just get an iPhone 4gs.

I stopped by the Tourneau at 53rd and Madison today to see what they had in stock.

My favorite Hublot was the Skeleton Aero Bang.
http://www.tourneau.com/shop/brand/h...ng-steel-4120p

The Big Bang Black Magic was also really nice and $6K less than the Skeleton. Looked similar to this one.
http://www.jomashop.com/hublot-mens-...cx-130-rx.html

Here's my ideal roster.

http://i.imgur.com/p9XND.png

The Everyday
Simple, refined, and suitable for typical everyday use.
$5K Budget
Cartier Roadster

http://i.imgur.com/1hHEw.png

The BSW
If you're trying to finalize a deal and notice that the guy sitting across the table from you can't keep his eyes off your watch, it's fairly reasonable to assume that you pretty much own him and wil get what you want. This a watch to wear in such situations
No Budget
Patek Philippe 5208p

http://i.imgur.com/kTzGj.png

The Funky
Something nice to wear for New Years Eve in St. Barths or Art Basel opening parties.
$20K Budget
Franck Muller King Conquistador Chronograph

http://i.imgur.com/oXXvP.png

The Sport
$10K Budget
Something sporty to wear at the Monaco Grand Prix or while watching tennis during week two at Roland Garros.
Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Titanium

Reality, on the other hand, is that when I left Tourneau, I went to the MOMA bookstore to hopefully find a good book about the history of typography, but ended up buying this watch for $275.
http://www.momastore.org/museum/moma...90_11474_63724

Not a bad deal. I also got these non-typography related books.:thumbsup

Rothko, Bauhaus, de Kooning, Richter.
