Bought Domain Name, Found Out That It's A Brand Name
I bought babelandtoys.com, only to find out tonight that it's the brand name of babeland.com.
I was planning on using it for my own toy site (already have a starter one at toysforeyourplay.com), but I'm concerned that using this may run me into some legal troubles. How should I proceed on this? Should I approach them about selling my domain (or possible JV)? Or should I just proceed with my plans of doing my own site? |
You may want to contact them if you are allowed to use the domain or else just sell it to them.

You should probably let the domain expire. Trying to sell it to them will likely just get the domain seized and you won't see a dime anyway.

You'll hear something like. " Our legal department will be contacting you to seize the domain." Just let it expire, take your $10 loss and move on. If all you do is fuck up and lose only $10 then you're doing better than most already. |
