Blog Examples?
Can anyone post an example of a successful blog? I want to go the route of having 5-10 good blogs instead of hundreds of splogs. Is anyone doing it right this way? Any help please, going in circles.....:Oh crap
|
So you can just copy it? No thanks. Try a google search instead.
|
Just create a blog, write your own content and that's it...
What's so hard about it? |

Just create something that you like as a blog and there should be others who will like it also.

Don't want to copy it.Just want to see what a blog that gets more than 100 hits looks like without traffic trading or is that impossible without it?

Successful or with lots of traffic?
I have a general porn blog with over 10.000 visitors / day. Almost 0 profit. I have a niche blog, ~ 300 visitors a day. Doing much better :) |

Not all of you on here are very interesting so this probably wouldn't work. |

Posts should include a video. Post a minimum 4 posts a day. The video should be linked to from the picture and a (more...) link and be on the same domain for bounce rate fluffing. |
You will struggle to get a definate answer because the majority of adult webmasters don't know how to blog, splogging is the route they take themselves. When they get bored of their splogs they jump on the latest free tube script.
If you can write then blog your heart out over a niche that you enjoy. Build something that you would bookmark and subscribe to yourself. You are beter off looking at mainstream blogs for motivation on blogging. |

Start off by deciding what you are passionate about. Hobby? Start writing. Add pics and videos to enhance. |
Pick a micro-niche that you love and just start blogging. I put up a simple blog promoting a micro-niche CCBill sponsor a month and a half ago and it's already made 16 Sales, 1 Rebill and a ratio of 1:578.

Thin content is doomed. Google has clearly signaled what types of content it deems valuable and spun, thin, crap content is on the way out. The best content to place on blogs is the content that people will actually engage with. So well written content which adds value is going to win out. It's entirely possible to make sales with 5 - 10 blogs which are well crafted from the written word to excellent visual presentation. If done right people will bookmark you and keep coming back. Done really well and you'll gain authority, your PR will rise as will your search rankings for your chosen keywords. The first thing you need to do is work out what keywords you are going to target with each blog. Porn related keywords are highly competitive so you need keywords that you will have some hope ranking with. I use Market Samurai to do keyword research. You can also do competition analysis with Market Samurai to make sure you're not chasing keywords you have no hope of ranking for. Your keywords should closely match your niche, there is no use choosing blowjob related keywords for an anal sex site. I know this is obvious advice to some but I do see people targeting random keywords and not matching them to their sponsor content. In choosing keywords you should also select keyword matching domains or as close as possible. The closer the relationship between your primary keyword and your domain the better chance you have of ranking well initially. So for example if your primary keyword is "girlfriends fucking" then you'd want girlfriendsfucking.com or girlfriends-fucking.com etc. Start with .com, if you can't get the .com but the .com equivalents are parked then go for the .net or .org. If the .com is a popular site and you don't think you can outrank it then restart the keyword research process. Once you have a good primary keyword and a set of related target keywords and a good domain then place a Wordpress installation on the domain and a good clean theme. Use your primary keyword in the title of the blog between <h1> tags. Install the fvflowplayer, akismet, yoast or Ultimate SEO plugins and configure them all correctly. Set up permalinks to either /%category%/%postname%/ or /%postname%/ depending upon your strategy. Set categories up on your blog relevant to or matching your target keywords (but not your primary keyword). This will ensure that your categories are intact before adding tags to posts. Initially write 5 good blog posts on the blog which are relevant to your keywords and niche. For each post place your keyword in the title between <h1> <h2> or <h3> tags. tag your posts with relevant keywords to the post. Place each post in the appropriate category on your blog. Each blog post should be accompanied by rich content in the form of a short clip or picture from your sponsor. There are many different strategies here. Some people add gallery thumbnails to their posts, some people images sized to match the width of their post area on the blog, some people will place a movie clip etc. To start out however I would follow the format below. Assuming the pixel width of your blog post area is 600px I would write a paragraph of text, followed by a 600px x 400 px landscape image, followed by another paragraph of text then split the post then another couple of paragraphs of text followed by another image of similar dimensions. and another paragraph of text followed by a call to action such as Click Here to Visit Sponsor Site. The first image should link to the full url of the full post, the second image should link to your sponsor. The reason for linking the first image to your full post url is twofold. If someone is seeing the post in the post summary and instinctively clicks on the image they will see your full post not just the first half of the split post, secondly by having people clicking on that image from the post summary your bounce rate will decrease. When you add a clip to your blog add the MP4 version from your sponsor and use fvflowplayer in Wordpress to show it. This will ensure anyone on any browser or device can view it without needing flash. Having the file on your own site is also better. Once you have your process in place for adding blog entries, do this once a day for approximately six weeks then fall back to no fewer than 3 - 4 posts per week per blog. Once your blog is running and you can start seeing analytic data you can then start fine tuning the blog to further increase conversions. However what I outlined above is a decent enough starting point. |
Not to overgeneralize but if you don't have a passion or at least more than superficial knowledge of a niche or market I don't see how you can draw in enthusiasts in that field.
There is a limited amount of interest for content along the lines of: "He put his gay penis in the gay ass. They had gay sex. Check out this gay video" Also learn how to label your pictures correctly and relevant to the post title. |

lol @ everyone arguing there is ONLY ONE WAY to do things.
Some of you just simply need to get out there and WORK. Results are results based off real life and real experiences, stop looking for them in a forum filled with trolls looking to fuck with you. Read this: http://37signals.com/rework/ |
Thanks adultking! This is golden advice.

When you have your process perfected then it's possible to outsource. All you need to do is document the process then hand the work over to someone else. I use oDesk to find people to update blogs, often it's possible to find good writers with basic photoshop cropping skills for a few dollars an hour. |

Also maybe it doesn't make as much anymore is because some of the girsl sites u link to don't exist anymore... |

AdultKing: I actually do use ODesk for some tasks so am familiar with it. I was looking more to finding a designer/SEO guy who could build the basic structure, off materials I gave him, link 'em all up "the right way" (much as you described in your most excellent post above) and then, when "done", hand the keys to me and I'll write/post like crazy. (Fuck, if I can post on GFY....hehe) Getting a designer not a biggie but getting one to choose a simple theme I can work with (I find Wordpress clunky and frustrating) and, most importantly, to link things up and make those link tables 'expandable' so i can add to them as I go along, is the challenge. I think it's relatively "simple" work so i don't want to spend weeks doing it myself. I'm only looking for maybe 5-8 blogs setup. LOL Anyway, maybe ODesk is the place to go for this, too, tho I also find communication is key there and the English is not always so great. |
google for ex gf and you will find plenty...
good luck |

I can set a blog up in less than an hour, I have a few tricks that make this process easier. Firstly I keep a premade set of Wordpress files, plugins and themes on a dummy site on my server, when wanting a fresh Wordpress install I simply copy the directory to the web root and then customise the wp-config.php file. Then I create a database using a simple bash script and then go to the domain in a web browser and configure Wordpress. Then I simply customise the framework theme which I use and the job is done. Add a few relevant posts so Google knows what the site is about right away and it's ready to be populated with content on an ongoing basis. If you find Wordpress a chore to set up then there is no reason not to outsource it. One thing about oDesk is when you find a good worker, hang on to them. If they are consistently good over time even consider pulling them out of the system and employ them directly. |
