Any good recommendations on other alt rock listens for 2012?

I lasted 42 seconds into the first video before I got bored of it. Nothing better than "ALT" rock featuring a smiling, bouncing pretty boy. If I have to watch that fake fuck bounce his shoulders or wiggle his knees again, I'll have to set one those burning schoolhouse fireworks thingies alight in effigy.

BYW, did you catch the preview song off their next album called "My Shoulders Go Bouncy Bouncy Bounce (Joan Crawford!)" Now that's alt!

Worst band of 2011, and maybe the last decade. Wow.

I think they are great! Very unique and that is exactly what music needs these days!

I haven't seen a band rise to fame as fast as them.
I caught them at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas in a small lounge for free:

They are pretty good and I've liked all their songs I've heard so far since they started getting popular.

Another group that started getting some air play in 2011 was Middle Class Rut. I thought these guys were pretty bad ass, but seems they have started to fade away before they really hit well.

They are a bit harder than FTP though.. I really have no clue why these guys didn't get more popular because they have a awesome sound going on IMO..

Actually heard middle class rut on Alt Nation sirius about a year ago.

They are awesome, but yeah...i forgot about them.

Their rise reminds me of another band I like (and the first time I saw them, in like 2004, there was literally 20 people in the audience).
