Hosting, Amaterdam, can you recommend any non US owned companies?
 

I am looking for managed hosting in Amsterdam.
It's for mainstream content.
It has to be a non US company.
We are going to host personal data, which we don't want to give to the US agencies might they want that.


Do you have experience with any and can you recommend any?
Alle experiences are relevant.

To hostingcompany reps, you are welcome to post in the thread and write you exist, but please don't write you are so good yada yada, if you do so anyway, you rule your self out of my considerations queue.

Here is the name of a hosting company in the Cayman Islands.. The do not advertise hosting but have more than 1,000,000 domains.

There is also a private hosing company there who will invite you to be hosted by them. the owner is a Jamaian fellow who does very high end encryption and who does not have to supply keys to any goverment.

I have one of their US boxes but they have an NL data centre and I believe they are European owned.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, the owners are Russian, but they are an LLC. I also believe they (the owners) moved to the US a long time ago.

You will have to take a shot in the dark, I know 1on1 is there not sure of they do adult and I've heard some horror stories.

If you give the US a try let me know. We have private everything and a great global network.

I knew the owners are not American, but yeah, that makes sense. I realised after my initial post that the main centre of operations in NJ should have given that away.
A great host though (in my brief experience) for what it's worth.

I've used VDX.nl for some mainstream projects in the past and I would definately recommend their services.

Isprime is an awesome host for sure. However, probably not your choice if you're on a tight budget.

Btw, I now saw their IP ranges are registered to Isprime BV in Amsterdam, not the US LLC, so not sure where their actual headquarters are.

The server we have in Amsterdam now is with Isprime.
We are very satisfied with their service.

We just need to cut all ties to the US on that hosting.
We are going to host personal info about danish people and we don't want that once an american company gives in to FBI or whatever, they hand out the data an EU daugther company has access to.

It's for mainstream, so non adult is indeed ok.


Right now AdultEUHost looks good.

We already have 3 servers with NatNet, check where pornreviews.com is hosted.
We are not moving that.

Hope you provide an update on whom you eventually decided to go with and what your experience with them was like :D

Used them some years ago, they are in ukraine I believe but rent space in various hosting centers... in reality they just provide support on servers they resell... but they are really good at it :-)

Any updates on this? Who did you decide to go with and what are your thoughts about them so far?

I have not decided anything yet.
Right now I'm waiting for a quote from a danish host.
If it's much more expensive than Adult EU Host, I think I am going to use Adult EU Host.

It seems to be the best and they have gotten a lot of recommendations. Both on GFY and in emails where I asked people about it.
I have also been in touch with both sales and support and I am positively surprised so far.

I decided to try AdultEUHost.

So far I am really satisfied with their level of support, how good they are and how efficient they are.
I can also say that the tech team is not a oneman show.
