in another thread, OP asked for slow and sludgy, this is more folk/pagan black metal, but very plodding and heavy, beautiful track you might like :thumbsup

I listen to a handfull of black metal.

My personal favorites are de mysteris dom sathanis by mayhem and puritanical euphoric misanthropia by immu borgir and some others that i can't remember now.

i'm mostly a death metal guy but i appreciate black metal and the culture behind it.

Always like the music, but I really, really dislike the gravel voice.

I can play this but i dont get music boner doing that

Black / Folk: I love Nokturnal Mortum. More black metal stuff, here are my best albums:

Anorexia Nervosa - New Obscurantis Order
Frozen Shadows - Dans les bras des Immortels(local band from Quebec, Canada)
Emperor -Prometheus, Disciple of Fire and Demise, althought it's way more "evolved" than black metal.
Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Mysanthropia


As for folk, nothing beats Jari and what he did in Ensiferum. His other band, Wintersun, best fucking metal album ever.

Dimmu Borgir is probably my favorite in this genre, though I'd always condered them more black metal

for folk metal, I really like In Extremo...their harp player is most badass harp player on the planet...he'd choke a motherfucker out in about 2 seconds...

So many genres of metal.
