I grew up listening to Rush,everybody has a definition of cool,Back in the 70's they were cool,a different alternative.Rush has been around for 30 years.not many bands can say the same

RUSH is and always was a cool band. More importantly, they have more musical talent & ability than most rock bands have in their pinkie finger. :thumbsup

I'll admit i've never been a rush fan and never understood the huge following, despite being a musician, but I still think they are better than just about anything being put out today in comparison... there should be more bands like them now in fact... trying to be inventive is better than trying to be popular at least.

Agreed. And in addition to that, when seeing them live, they were always able to duplicate their recorded versions, with all nuances perfectly, many years after the fact.

It's funny how we look back at bands from "Yesteryear" and expect them to still be hip. Rush was formed in 1968 - I was born in 1968, forty-three years ago. They aren't really a rock band any more; They a group of old men.

They're among the gods of rock, and among the fewer yet who are still out there putting new stuff out and performing. 40 years of it.
