gateway where cust only puts cc info and is not charged who does that?
Which billing companies have gateways where the customer only puts their cc info and is not charged? I think some sites call them age verification and it gives the user the ability to look at the site for free for 24 hours then charges the card.
|
Interesting idea. I used to do this about 10 years ago, using a CC verification script (it would figure out if the credit card number was valid). It used to lead to some amazingly well qualified leads!
Bump for answers... |
i think pretty much all of them can do this. whether or not they allow ALL customers to do it is another issue.

it is called unreal, unless someone will pay running of the service, right?
|
here is an example:
http://www.freedomtube.org/ then it goes to this page http://www.freedomtube.org/play/black-cock-sucker-3439/ so how are they doing their billing? |
anyone know what im talking about and look at my example?

thats called age verification skim, imho its a fraudulent process, they say they wont charge you but they charge you.,,

"(**) Your Free Lifetime access to FreedomTube-HD includes a free 2 day trial promo to Premier Passport. TO AVOID BEING CHARGED, SIMPLY CANCEL YOUR PREMIER PASSPORT MEMBERSHIP BEFORE THE TRIAL PERIOD ENDS. Your Premier Passport membership will renew at $39.95/month, or the then applicable rate, unless cancelled. Your lifetime access to FreedomTube-HD remains active even if you cancel your Premier Passport membership." So they may not process any credit card charges until the 2 day trial ends and then only on those accounts that have not "canceled". |
hidden cross-sale plus 2 prechecked cross-sales.. hardly free
pretty much every sponsor has this now.. this particular one looks very similar to wegcash old programs |

Use Netbilling

It does not necessarily need to be setup by a billing company. Could be as simple as the site storing the credit card info itself, waiting two days and then charging all those that have not canceled.

Almost any gateway can do this for you. You need to have a bank to process the cards. Netbilling is a gateway. |

Any merchant out there will do this - you're just setting up a recurring membership with the first billing period 2 days for free (basically a free trial) and then it starts into normal billing.
Not sure any merchant will let you "disguise" this as age verification though, that would be against CC regulations. Quote:

I do not know exactly how gateways such as netbilling operate... I have a suspicion they *manage* the customer calls and complaints. I use quantumgateway for mainstream and they simply are an online software gateway *with merchant help* if I need it. Meaning... I get all calls to my phone number and all emails to my email to address any customer issues. It is a lot easier for me to take these calls and explain to somebody that they visited the site and it was a trial to pay unless cancelled. An outside party would likely just refund immediately. This is what you call... *having your own merchant account* To answer your question from above... it sounds like you are asking the question based on knowledge of a merchant such as CCBill. 0.00 biller sounds like a pre-determined price point based on software that must put that information in... like CCBill. If you are asking these questions you likely have knowledge of the main merchant processors around... CCBill, Epoch, Segpay, etc. It is up to them if they approve a 0.00 trial to rebill in 3 days at xx.xx dollars. *Having your own merchant account* you do not have those types of restrictions. |
