Can you DMCA screenshots/screendumps?
Say I've already DMCA'd the file locker that's hosting my material is it possible to DMCA the image host that is hosting screenshots of my file?
Anybody had any success with this? http://www.chillingeffects.org/quest...QuestionID=809 |
From reading the statement you have linked, I think it falls under fair use. But, I'm not a copyright lawyer. If it's just a few screen caps and they are watermarked without leading to the pirated content, sounds like free publicity to me :)
But, one way to find out, send the doc and let us know :thumbsup They will probably pull it just because you DMCA them, but I wonder whether or not it is actually fair use or not. |
