Can't get videos to play inside the emulator. I've tried multiple versions and nothing. I got a youtube video to play for half a second.

well the good thing is, you got it to at least load for a moment lol at least you are on correct path. good thing about android emulator is it will direct you to your problems...

is it force closing or anything, is the app running and being installed on emulator device or is it giving errors?

when it comes to android code it can be anything, and can be something as simple as missing a ">"

It seems as though it is looking for a path to Media/MediaPlayer when I attempt to view media demos. but I just cant figure it out. is it looking for my local media player, am I supposed to add a media player app?

Once I figure out the path I then have to change the xml file I believe. I always hated paths unless I was walking through the woods!

All I want the thing to do is to assist me in mobile website building. I'm not building apps with it.

i am not sure because i only use it for app development. I hand code my mobile pages.

I was going to ask have you installed the app on a true device but you say youre using it to build web pages not apps. so this could be a number of issues... short answer is, yes, its always going to default to whatever handles the media.

Any time I run into an issue with Mobile development, video is right in the middle of it.

Figures!

Well then at least it doesn't appear to be as simple as hoping. I won't shoot anything yet. I thought my IQ was really low on this one. No simple answer so back to learning how this thing works.

appreciate the help people. :upsidedow

My girl turned me on to this. I've gotten every solution I've needed here:

I read a bit from stackoverflow but nothing jumped out at me. I'll have to read a little slower.
