Had a site number 1 for term for a year, never updated it. Wasnt making any money on it so i updated it with a better theme and new content...google dropped me to #5, from 1200 uv to 300 uv a day :( google why hath thou forsaken me :helpme

what i was thinking lol ...the blog is 92% google search traffic and was number 1 for its main keyword "___ porn"...jeeze tough crowd :(

How long has it been since you changed the content?

I've had similar situations where I've changed content and Google drops me for 7-21 days and then I'm back up again.

Maybe just give it some time and you'll be back up to #1.

I started adding content last week, its all revelant, i started adding only videos i host, and i improving my titles on category and post pages. I didnt change any old content or links. Hope it comes back.

google is fucking wierd nowdays, seems all they care about is updates and links in.

i assume that you havent add links in over a year? and when you changed the theme and content you triggered the google bot.... start adding some links slowly and you will get back..

Don't know about him but I added a single sentence to a page that was number 1 for years, few days later down to number 5. Google likes new content say the SEO gurus, yeah right.

:1orglaugh no shit, down to numero 6 today lol and all the sites ahead of are big tubes or tube searchers ...though i didnt make paysite sales i did make some revenue with juicyads, it was a nice run to feel on top :pimp

I had a #1 blog that was regulary updated, but then I added an "addthis" bar to every blog post, and they kicked me a few pages back.
After a couple of months it's back on the front page but not #1 yet..

Update the site, I have a site that's for the most part #1 under a gambling-keyword. Whenever it drops down to #2-3 I just update it and it jumps back up to #1.
