SEO: Best way to do this? (Actual Biz Thread - No Poo)

Senario. You own two identical domains - Keyword1Keyword2.com and Keyword1Keyword2.co.uk

The .com is a silly joke site, and the .co.uk is an abandoned forum. Both domains result in number 1 and 2 google placements respectively - and have sat at the top of the tree for 5 years+...

You decide to forget the forum, on .co.uk and put a 'pimproll hostedtube' on it... While it still gets traffic, and people view the vids, you lose your number 2 google spot...

So, in order to get the combined benefit of the hosted tube on the co.uk, and the top google placement of the .com what would you do?

As I see it, options are either...

1) Add a 'Click Here' link, to the .com, that leads to the .co.uk ? (Prob best in my current thinking)

2) Add an iframe image screen of the .co.uk INTO the .com (But will this fuckup the number 1 spot?)

3) Turn the .com into a hostedtube (And lose the Number 1 spot for sure?)

What would you do? 1, 2 or 3 ?

do the number 1

then install the tubesite on a subdomain of .co.uk..then put an attention-grabbing banner on the forum that leads to your tubesite.

I'd link to it.

I have noticed that with video sites you do a lot better when you host the video yourself. So the hosted tube option might not be ideal. Not to say it wont work using a hosted solution.

For seo it's always best to opt for the anchor to be your keyword rather than a click here. Certainly a site listed in the top 10 for the keyword is going to pass link juice. so I would vote for number option 1 but say click here for KEYWORD tube videos. and have the link be the keyword not the entire phrase.

I have never tested iframes so I cant give you feed back. My first inclination is that it's not ideal for seo. but I can't tell you honestly because I have never personally tested.

another note: if you change the site you will see a temporary penalty that should go away quick especially if you have added quality content to the site and add some good quality inbounds such as an inbound from the dotcom

Thats the way that I would have done it, had pimproll allowed the 'hostedtube' to be placed on a sub domain... But they dont. Thats why I was happy to sacrifice an old unused forum, and the number 2 spot, (As an experiment) but my main 'joke site' the .com is still untouched at number 1, and I dont wanna fuck that up... :helpme

Thanks - I did read your entire post, ut only quoted one line, to clarify that I dont mean 'Literally' CLICK HERE' - Just a text link or banner, as opposed to the other options... :thumbsup
