yeah, people always email with dumb questions even when the answers are already in a post.

Yup... I've gotten rid of many cars on there, but you have to take a car transaction a lil more serious than gettin' rid of cinder-blocks... so you kinda have to deal with the bullshit.
|
$1 per block is way too expensive for those blocks.

Why are you selling them half price? What's wrong with them?

I encounter these cheap bastards almost every time I try to sell something there.
This kid answered an ad for a $300 computer I was selling, and it was a good deal for what it was. I spent 3 days going back and forth with text messages with this asshat trying to knock the price in half, $25 at a time, and answering his stupid questions about every fucking component in the computer. He still ended up buying it for almost the full price, but from this point on I let someone get one haggle attempt, then I literally tell them to fuck off and die. |

Awesome.
When I closed my LA apartment a few years ago, I spent a few months slowly selling of items I couldn't take with me on CraigsList. An entire apartment worth, and about 15 years of my life. I was pretty much selling everything from my furniture to my forks, and everything in-between including professional music studio gear, unusual items picked up around the world, and 1972 Cadillac parts. What I found is the cheaper the item was, the more hassle it was to sell it. If it was something expensive, it sold with no hassle at all. But if it was something worth $5, Jesus Fucking Christ, I spent more time dealing with these numb nuts than the item was worth. Finally, it got down to the wire when I had to leave so I started blowing shit out. Then it got to the NIGHT BEFORE I was about to leave and I still had at least 50% of my shit left, mostly unusual stuff or things I didn't want to sell until the last minute because I was using it. So I placed at ad on Craigslist at around 10pm and said that everything was FREE, just come get it. HOOOOOOOOLY FUCK!!!!! If ever in my life I wish I had a time lapse cam, this was it. I was cleaned out 100% of everything but my bags packed ready to go to the airport and the clothes on my back by 5am. And I mean they took EVERYTHING, even old canned food in the kitchen and shit I was going to throw away, like an old tooth brush, brooms, and so on. They even took my used bar of soap. Most of it went to young couples who didn't have money to buy things, some stuff went to Mexicans who were poor and very thankful, and a few Arabs were nit picking shit and I had to stop them from trying to take everything as they wanted it all, but I wanted to share it with more people. The arabs even took a large box of of tranny DVDs that I didn't sell that should have gone back to the warehouse. lol Probably resold all of it. Good times. |

Man thats sad.

why would you ever sell a car on craigslist or kijiji anyway? Any fees you save from not using autotrader ends up getting passed on in bullshit offers and conceding at a lower cost to avoid hassle, so makes no sense in the long run..
