Most of these idiots on here love the government telling them what to do...

Fletch XXX 01-24-2012 08:19 PM

the funny thing is this is the big anchor baby mayor who stands in the street fighting to keep los angeles a "sanctuary city" for illegals but, hey, american citizens, shouldnt be able to have sex on camera without a condom. oh the irony.

lol

SmutHammer 01-24-2012 08:22 PM

Let LA starve, There will be a new porn valley somewhere else.

Edit: My guess would be Nv. if 18 year olds could shoot porn.

Government should stay the fuck out of our business, especially at the Federal level...

But even on a state or local level... how is it okay to tell people they must have sex a certain way? lol, it's ridiculous....

Pretty soon there will be laws telling you how to wipe your ass with cameras in your bathroom making sure you do it right and most of these big government nanny-state fools will be okay with it.

PenisFace 01-24-2012 08:33 PM

It means move outside of LA to shoot content! San Diego: Porn Valley 2.0?

SmutHammer 01-24-2012 08:38 PM

I vote Florida! someone should make a thread with a pole to ask this question.

:1orglaugh so true, there's a lot of guys here that think the government is on porn's side and is their savour when it comes to fighting piracy. The government could give a fuck less about adult.

bronco67 01-24-2012 09:05 PM

I love the stock photo in the article. That looks like the set of Squirting Flappy Titted Milfs Volume 50.

DAMNMAN 01-24-2012 09:58 PM

Yes, the government should keep their fuckin' noses out of the sex industry. But they will always try to shut it down in one way or another. Fuckheads.

Here's the problem the big companies face in the L.A area.
If any talent shooting a scene without condoms in that (condom only) area comes down with something, anything at all. (A runny nose) The talent will be able to sue the producer for illegal and unsafe practices. No matter what paperwork the producer makes the model sign. (Waiver) The talent will own them. It takes it to another level as it is now a criminal legal violation, not a civil one.
:2 cents:

I heard this was coming and that everyone was gonna be looking to Florida.
Well here I am in Florida and ready to go if anyone wants top notch content shot.
I shot top converting scenes for Playboy/Realitycash for 8 1/2 years and currently shoot for Score Group (10 magazines in Print and Web), PORN.COM and many others.

See sig for contact info.

Assuming that this ridiculous law is even enforced in any substantial way which seems unlikely, why would Southern California based companies do that when all they have to do is shoot just outside of the City of L.A. in any one of the dozens of other municipalities in the greater L.A. area that they already shoot in now?

loss of revenue for the city basically.

no permits or shooting outside of LA - many companies shoot in OC, IE, San Bernadino, Riverside, etc. all within 30-45 mins from the valley epicenter

highly doubt anyone is moving anywhere, unless you want to ship talent out of state :1orglaugh

CyberHustler 01-25-2012 03:20 AM

Don't see anything wrong with it... I applaud it.

That's not true. They care a lot about adult when they want to crack down on obscenity.

The piracy issue, many in porn hope that legal precedent will be set as the gov helps mainstream and we can ride those coat tails to give law suits some teeth.

Roald 01-25-2012 04:39 AM

Seems like our visitors don't care much:

Result: Do you mind to see condoms in porn?

No I don't mind 25% (521)
Yes I don't like it 37% (781)
I don't really care 22% (445)
I don't look at cock! 19% (386)

takehersleazy 01-27-2012 12:43 PM

It sounds like a lot of people will either be shooting outside of the LA area or just ignore it. Until they get in trouble..of course. Interesting Poll results. Most people always seem to think you need to lose the condom to sell it.

Tom_PM 01-27-2012 01:12 PM

I think a better poll would be simple Yes/No to avoid confusion, but I really wonder if people might get lazy thinking a condom prevents everything. Last I checked, condoms are meant to prevent unintended pregnancy. Is accidental pregnancy a problem in the adult industry?

And you pull permits when you shoot?? How are you the only porn production that pulls permits in Florida???

I know that you don't. Because it is not legal to shoot porn in Florida.

All big production that need to pull permits because of the size of the production or the particular location that the scene is being shot at, those are the people that will be most affected.

If any of the above tried to pull a permit in Florida or Nevada to shoot a porn movie, would immediately be laughed out of the office. Why?? Because porn production is not permitted there in the 1st place.

Whats going on does suck, but man!!! Some of you people really need to learn how to read. And if you do know how to read, you really need to learn how to comprehend and understand what it is that you are reading. Some of the stuff posted by people who claim to know is just too funny!!

And lastly you people that are not in production or have any idea how production works in LA, don't worry about us. We are big boys and know what it is we have to do and not do. And moving away isn't one of the choices. :thumbsup

Not sure what all the fuss is about...

I use a condom glove when I masturbate while watching porn, so I'm safe! :2 cents: :thumbsup :pimp

Nicely put, Dave. But don't be too hard on these guys about not knowing what's going on when the lamestream media (LA Times, TV stations, etc.) only seem to be able to quote from press releases and don't appear inclined to do any actual reporting.

PornoMonster 01-28-2012 05:52 PM

How many production companies are within the City of Limits of LA?

Redrob 01-28-2012 06:03 PM

Bullshit

Take a wait and see. The requirement doesn't apply to anyone shooting on a studio set. I imagine we will see the most of the industry move to studio sets instead of producer's bedrooms and back alleys. I imagine this is an excellent opportunity for somebody to convert an apartment complex into a studio complete with numerous bedrooms, pool and Jacuzzi for shoots.:2 cents:

I wish I was in LA.
