Anyone know how to change a facebook profile back to normal from the new timeline?
 

I fucking hate it and I'm trying to find a way to get it back. The only thing I saw so far is if you marked yourself as a developer and added it while it was pre-beta late last year.

Can anyone help with this?

You can go to settings and change the languages to UK then you should get the old look back :2 cents:

If that doesn't work some people have deactivated their account (not deleted) for 10 min and they have got the old look back, but it's hit and miss.

FB says you can't go back. You can delete your profile and start over, but isn't timeline mandatory now?

crazy, if anything they should be simplifying, not complicating, they will turn it from a site that many people go to many times a day, to a site that many will hardly bother to check once a week

Funny... My niece and my son both can't stop talking about how much better it is.

The only thing I don't like about it is I'm still not used to most recent update on left, second right. I want to read up and down in a straight line.

this is the likely result, a painful interface will mean less time spent on the site, similar to what happened to myspace, it got too annoying for people to use so they just went there less and less and it fizzled out

Totally agree here. I switched over to it by mistake, just thinking I was messing around with it, and i could switch it back. I have noticed in myself that I went from checking it every day to every couple of days, and I feel like my usage is going to gradually die away to nothing.

This, or somewhere else. That's the result of changing something that works well as it is. I think every company needs to grow and add features, but they shouldn't appear complicated, done without some subtlety, and completely change the model that made your company what it is.

From what I understand, soon it won't be option but required for everyone.

I think this will be the result more and more, I see many people losing interest in it, they are missing the fact that it was linear and simple is what drew people back minute by minute as the day went on, now it it painful to look at and I can see many people not bothering much anymore

Early adopter here. Been using Timeline for a while.

After a short while, persons will see the benefits of it.

Better organization and control over every post, especially past ones.

I can jump back to 2007 in one click and see my first posts when I joined the FB, as well as the highlights of that particular year.

Those who complain may not be fully aware of the genius behind it, but it is.

facebook is so user friendly.
