Santorum - College is bad.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...ndoctrination/

Quote:

"It's no wonder President Obama wants every kid to go to college," said the former Pennsylvania senator. "The indoctrination that occurs in American universities is one of the keys to the left holding and maintaining power in America.........
Quote:

Santorum went on to encourage his audience not to "give money" to colleges and universities that he said are causing harm to the country.

"I'll bet you there are people in this room who give money to colleges and universities who are undermining the very principles of our country every single day by indoctrinating kids with left-wing ideology," he said. "And you continue to give to these colleges and universities. Let me have a suggestion: Stop it."

Why does anyone even give this guy attention?

baddog 01-25-2012 05:46 PM

And his comment is incorrect?

V_RocKs 01-25-2012 05:50 PM

His name is a nasty sexual word... seriously?

Rochard 01-25-2012 05:58 PM

His comments seem to be directed about religion, or the lack of it after kids go to college. That's because kids off to school and outside of their parent's control, and discover that they have free choice and free will and don't have to go to church every Sunday - not to mention they are busy fucking like rabbits.

Santorum is a tool but he's right on a few things such as this.

bronco67 01-25-2012 09:16 PM

The us against them mentality in politics is getting ridiculous.

Operator 01-26-2012 12:25 AM

what he said ^

kane 01-26-2012 12:30 AM

I know a bunch of people who have gone to college and have degrees and their political beliefs are all over the spectrum from super liberal to super conservative to everything in between.

For a lot of people who go away to go to college it is the first time they are away from their families and now are left to think and act for themselves and decide what really is or is not important to them. Santorum and his ilk don't like free thinkers any more than the far left doesn't like free thinkers because if you think for yourself and investigate the facts before you make a decision it is harder to sell that person a plate of steaming shit.

2MuchMark 01-26-2012 12:35 AM

Of course he does. He has a masters degree and went to law school. College is good for him, just not the people he wants to govern.

Republicans: getting people to vote against their best interests since 1890.

PornMD 01-26-2012 02:18 AM

Gee, I can only guess why he's not a fan of college:

What amuses me the most is that the republicans don't even bother to change the message. At least the democrats come up with new lies for different elections. Every time the republicans are not in power they run on the platform or lowering taxes, shrinking government, removing government from our day to day lives, more personal freedom, shirking the deficit, and getting rid of abortion and yet none of them ever do it. They might actually enact a tax cut, but inevitably they raise a tax somewhere else to make up for it. They just recycle the same shit election after election and their base continues to buy it.
