Like we need a moon colony... what a fucking shithead!

We need to pull out of the Middle East... Let them do what they are going to do and then fuck them up like Hitler, Saddam, etc later...

Fletch XXX 01-26-2012 05:13 PM

Id be impressed if they would prove everyone wrong and actually do a new moon landing... they say we still don't have the technology lol

Vendzilla 01-26-2012 05:33 PM

We had a moon colony since 1974, that's where the frozen body of Austin Powers is

lol..........

kane 01-26-2012 05:58 PM

How is he supposed to do that while reducing the size of the government and reducing the debt?

Oh that's right. He is just promising to do those things, he won't actually do them.

Relentless 01-26-2012 06:18 PM

If he had a moon colony he would have somewhere far away to send his ex wives. The man is thinking ahead.

Jakez 01-26-2012 06:19 PM

I kind of like Gingrich, but can't tell if he's honest or just another good speaker/salesman.

Best-In-BC 01-26-2012 06:20 PM

Mr Pheer 01-26-2012 09:49 PM

I am all for space exploration and have been a huge fan of the shit NASA has done in 40 years. But its the last thing we need to be spending money on right now.

Exactly. Which is why I'm going for Ron Paul, the guy is obviously sincere about what he says, so much so that he stumbles over his words trying to quickly get it all out in the short time he gets to speak. We have no idea what the others plans really are once they make office. And the only argument people have against Ron is that he's old, or his eyebrow looks weird, or his posture is weird, or they found some racist shit in his newsletter 20 years ago that wasn't made by him. In other words a bunch of irrelevant shit.

not true at all. maybe some people don't want civil rights repealed, or health care, or environmental protections ... there are dozen of things that would make people not want to vote for him.

At least we know what he wants to do? And at the same time people say most of the shit he wants to do would never happen because it has to go through congress first. So if his goals are so bizarre that they wouldn't get passed, what is the problem? At least he is looking in the right direction.

I will admit I know fuck all about politics. But I am tired of listening to these scumbags talk about doing something and then do a 180 once they win. So I am going for the guy who is honest. And if he wins maybe we can convince him why he should change his plans in certain areas. At least he will listen to people and not bank accounts.

2012 01-26-2012 10:52 PM

tragically , the moon doesn't give a fuck ... more bullshit "news" at 11.

anyone of those things i posted makes him un-electable for a large part of the population. most people don't want to roll back society to 1915.

So if he were elected, would he be able to actually accomplish any of those crazy things most people are against? Or just the other ones most people are for?

Not really, we know what Ron Paul wants to do, the others say a lot of nice things to get elected and then do whatever once they win. Oh well this is why I hate politics, the argument really goes nowhere, so I'm done..

That's the problem. What's it worth putting a colony on the moon? They've been there and found nothing worth having. Sending robots is way cheaper, better and safer than sending humans. Any new inventions that could come from this would of come if 1/4 of the money were spent on research.

This is the best man, or second best, the Republicans can put up?

Operator 01-27-2012 12:54 AM

Elect Ron

Joshua G 01-27-2012 01:14 AM

the moon is boring. The real action is on the saturn moon titan, which has lakes of liquid natural gas, & a killer view of the sky :thumbsup

CyberHustler 01-27-2012 01:14 AM

DWB 01-27-2012 02:40 AM

And pay for it how? Maybe with the funds Bush wanted to use to send a man to Mars?

When I lived in FL it was like clock work every time someone was campaigning for the oval office they would always have some speech about how they were gonna do this and that with the space programs.

Almost none of them ever did what they claimed they would, but hey what else is new with politicians.

Herb Kornfield 01-27-2012 07:51 AM

I am shocked that the republican party has pinned their hopes on the weakest possible people to represent them for the presidential run.

You would think they would have thrown everything at finding a rockstar to nail the win ..but no.

I'm not a republican at all .. hard core democrat and just shocked at how the republican party is so out of touch with reality when the run for the top job is the prize.

Phoenix 01-27-2012 07:57 AM

the moon colony would be cool...apparently they can get access to helium3 in vast quantities.
also would make space mining easier if there was an actual base up there for processing etc....leave the waste, take the goods home via spacial elevator.

i dont think he is the man for the job, as he looks like a mouth breather, however while spending lots of money, if all jobs were housed in the usa, it would put money back into the economy for people who actually pay taxes in the usa. I believe a new space race like this would also spur technology growth again, and provide a host of cures and advances in science and medicine.

suesheboy 01-27-2012 08:08 AM

I own some good parked lunar domains that have been getting some serious traffic from companies like GE the past few weeks.

Newt finally says something smart

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helium-3

Moon has lots of Helium 3, could safely power our planet for years.
NASA creates great paying jobs for scientists and technicians even secretaries.

Quit being so shortsighted.
