I can't believe you repeated the same dumb excuse. go think it through.
OK I will tell you.
Laws are not designed to stop crime. They are to punish the criminals and deter, limit, slow down, etc crime. Adopting your stance there would be no laws so the meanest with the biggest muscle would rule. And clearly that will not be you. You're not clever enough to rule.
Hitting companies like Paypal, hosts, advertisers on piracy sites, traffic sellers and buyers from piracy sites will have a huge effect. Anyone who saw the huge bills MU were running up will see that they need a lot of money to keep going. Stop the money they close. It's that simple.
Forums that exist by allowing people to post links to pirated content, which they might of put up to earn money, will disappear. Maybe a few sites will exist for Joe Soap to contact Fred Bloggs so they can pirate their copy of music or film. But the sharing of millions of files on a daily basis will reduce piracy back to what it was. A cottage industry.
No it won't stop piracy, it will severely limit it. And that what laws are intended for.
Dennis69 that's how dumb some of these guys are. I'm with you on this one, I've moved on. The only thing that will save online porn is for it to go behind a payment barrier of $30 a month. A simple payment barrier won't save it. Tubes will charge $1 for a life times membership. The porn business is running down, thanks to the guys who insist giving it away, is the way to sell it. :upsidedow
