Attention MovieDollars Webmasters that currently use our custom theater system.

Mastercard has begun to enforce long standing rules and regulations on processing transactions and URLs.

Due to their rules we can no longer offer affiliate owned URLs on custom theaters.

As of today we are no longer offering the option to have custom URLs associated with white label theaters, UNLESS the URL can be transferred to our ownership and we feel there is potential for significant earnings. If you would like to do this we would need a signed agreement to transfer to us along with a clause to transfer it back to you at anytime.

All theaters will now exist on ct.vod.com.

All end users are still assigned to your theater and your affiliate ID, only the address bar is changing.

We are also taking this time to eliminate underperforming theaters. Any theaters that didn't make a minimum are now redirected to one of our default custom theaters.

Those theaters will continue to have the affiliate ID on the links, but no longer exist in our system.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Email [email protected] with any questions.

We'll match Gamelink's offer... VOD is what we do. Hit Stephane above :-)

What happen was MC applied a long standing rule that basically says to process a site you need to be shown as the owner of said site. So with that fines were handed out..

From what I have seen Hotmovies simply pointed all the WL's to normal theaters/URL's that they own with the correct webmaster ID *not just dropped the sites and 404 them* so webmaster need only check the links to make sure their ID's links are correct, as with anything nothing is 100%.

With the number of sites affected even a .01% error rate will mean that some peoples links will not be correct.

You may also want to point what happen out to any other company you have WL with as the same rules apply to them and they should be changing the whois *at the least to their information to show they are in control of the site and its content.

Maybe a rep from a processing company can explain the rules regarding this so that we all learn from this. Webmasters and companies alike

At this time I do not think Gamelink or for that matter 90+% of companies offering WL require the needed simple changes to stop the same thing from happening to them and their own webmasters. Who knows if any or all of them are able to fix the issues as hotmovies did with their ability to point everything to their own URLs with correct webmaster ID. Not being able to would have lead to 404 pages at best..

Does AEBN require changes to the whois information when webmasters do WL hosted on their domains?

If not the same issue and fines in the long run will happen

brassmonkey 01-31-2012 02:28 PM
