I ventured out in the cold today (live in the hills outside Manchester). Four layers of clothing and my nips were still rock hard.

It was so cold today when I took the dog for a walk by the river, I had all my ski gear on, thermal underwear long johns and long sleeve top, balaclava, hat, hood and even ski goggles. Fucking freezing here, river is icing up. The dog loves it, he goes around eating the snow.

Did that yestreday - wanted to go to the gym, so I had to clean snow for like half an hour, got into my car and it doesn't want to start, battery's dead. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Called a car battery dude, he came, put in a new battery, took the old one with him, now the car starts in a split second.

I can relate to this. My Staffie will be out of the house for a minute and suddenly goes into reverse, heads back up the drive and as soon as I open the door, she`s in her bed next to the rad. She is such a tart.

Talk to me when it's -35 or colder, like it was here in Winnipeg one night about two weeks ago. And last year around this time we had a month solid of -40 to -50 with the windchill. This winter has been quite mild compared to that.

It's -14 right now. I could do 5 months of -14 standing on my head. :D
