If you think -2 or -6 are "very" cold, well my friend you have no clue what cold is.

We're having a fairly mild winter here in Manitoba so far, but by your estimate of it you would be completely miserable, and possibly dead, if you lived here.

Me, I think -6 C is a few degrees away from t-shirt weather. :D

If you're in the UK (I'm from south of london) you'll be suprised at this, but it feels pretty warm out there with the right clothing on. Damp UK winter makes it feel colder I think and I know how -6 would feel over there with all that moisture in the air. It is fairly dry air here so it don't feel as bad.

Saying that, I haven't been out there yet, if it is windy it will feel a lot worse! Wind chill sucks.

The third mildest/warmest/least snowy winter on record. It's about 34f/1C which is a cakewalk around here in February. It's been stunningly mild with many days feeling like spring. Unheard of so early in upstate new york.

Don`t get me wrong...I like the cold weather and could happily live somewhere where it was minus on a daily basis. I only mentioned "very cold" being that it is colder than normal for the UK this time of the year (as is for large chunks of Europe).

We (as in the nation) don`t cope very well with the icy conditions. :)

Since moving to Toronto, I've noticed that it's way less cold here than it was in Montreal. I love it!

I got sunny and 70 degrees in San Diego. Just walked down to a deli by my house and it is nice in the sun. Love San Diego, but hate the fucking Sunshine Tax.

Very mild compared to last year, it's been in the 40's all week. No serious snowfall yet which is surprising. This time last year I was shoveling my driveway every morning.

33F (probably about 1C) in Michigan. No snow on the ground though. It's actually been a pretty decent winter this year.
