I have a full studio with pro equipment here in Portland Oregon and changed my name to HappyEndingProductions. I got about $5k to invest in shooting and distributing my content via websites or dvds here in the local area. Everything is running great,

except...

I NEEEED MODELS!!!! I've put up ads on backpage.com, I've looked through MM, and have reached out to local strip clubs but Im not getting a steady flow of girls.

Any suggestions? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I've seen many interviews and a lot of models say they were approached/contacted on Myspace.
I'm not saying to do this, but Myspace is the site for the "trashier and sluttier" type chicks.

Have you tried posting on craigslist.org?

My experience is strippers hardly ever pan out, they are either to expensive or unreliable. MM can be tricky due to the site not allowing adult (porn) recruiting. Sexy Jobs is an option specifically designed for adult models.

The only way to hire reliable talent is to hire though a reputable agency in LA. Either that or marry a whore.

There are a lot of models on MM who won't do anything remotely nude so I wouldn't consider that a viable option. A lot of recruiters find models on cam sites. That was not only can you see them but you can understand their personality a bit. A lot of this is done on my free cams and a great way to interest them is doing TFP work. A lot of these girls have craptastic photos on their profiles and not much content to offer.

I know some models in Portland. If I knew more specifics about this I could be of some help. MFC is a good place to start though. Good luck.

One of my sites is also a "local girls" site. I don't purchase content for it and I don't use pros, just local amateur talent. I have been doing this a number of years so now to get local models I simply answer my phone so I just want to tell you there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Now to get to that light there is a couple of rules. Girls hang with other girls so if you know some local girls that have already shot for you contact them and let them know that you are offering a "finders fee" and if they have any prospective models call you and drop their names you will be giving them a cash bonus.
Next is what we call the princess rule. Go out of your way to make your girls feel special and that they are the star whenever they shoot. Treat them with the utmost respect and don't spend the entire shoot trying to get in their pants. After their shoot call them back and give them a couple prints and show them the photoshop work you have done on their imperfections and how good you try to make them look at all times. If they look hot you both make money.
The last thing is a question, how come you can't find models in what I thought was the stripper capitol of the United States? I have heard of lot's of girls leaving our San Luis Obispo, Ca. area heading for the gold rush of stripperville, USA in Portland, Oregon.

1. Myspace worked a couple years ago, since then Facebook has taken over but I would still give Myspace a shot, it may work.

2. Use craigslist, backpage, sexyjobs, xxxfilmjobs <- all sites that have definitely worked.

3. If its legal in your area, make flyers and stick them up on cork boards all over... places that will get you the most calls are artsy districts, small bars, coffee shops or up in da ghetto.

4. If you are not creepy looking and have some game, just spit it out to girls you meet anywhere. So you are getting your haircut and the chick is cute so she says "What do you do?" and you say "Well I work in porn"... unless they are 100% turned off by it, they will ask you more and more and more and then you will get "Ive always thought about maybe doing that" or "my friend would totally want to do that, meet us out at xyz bar later".

If you can't do that, find a guy who can and pay him a fee to do this for you.

5. There are tons of ex porn girls who flew to miami or cali for a week and never did it again since.... they live all over, I bet there are at least 5-10 solid girls like that in your area who are still looking for work but who are not interested in flying back to do another run through... find them.

6. Fly girls in from elsewhere, should be able to do it if you are paying enough.
