Lucio Fulci had a really weird eyeball fetish...it seemed to be his trademark in his movies similar to Tarantino's foot fetish...close ups of eyes, all the time and of course the bleeding eyes in Gates Of Hell.

fris 02-03-2012 10:39 AM

high tension

SykkBoy 02-03-2012 10:41 AM

this scene always gets me

ottopottomouse 02-03-2012 11:01 AM

Poltergeist. Really scared me when I was 8. Saw it on TV recently though and couldn't believe how shit it was.

cykoe6 02-03-2012 11:04 AM

The Wizard of OZ.

Cherry7 02-03-2012 11:11 AM

Bambi

The true horror of life is all there, your mother is going to die, nature can kill you and all your friends at any time at whim, people with guns want to kill you. You father is an macho asshole.

And the cute babe you want to fuck is a skunk.

JFK 02-03-2012 11:57 AM

Barbarella, can't seem to get Jane out of my mind:winkwink:

PR_Glen 02-03-2012 12:02 PM

Pecsi's character in Good Fellas was kind of frightening at the time for me. Seemed far more real than any horror movies out there that's for sure.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers creeped me out for a long time.

Insomnia with hale berry.

Pseudonymous 02-03-2012 02:32 PM

I watched A Clockwork Orange when I was well under 10 years old because it was lying around the house because my dad was studying psychology at the time and the class had them watch it

I remember not sleeping well for a while

They edited out the rape scene

stephane76 02-03-2012 02:32 PM

Poltergeist the clown scene when I was a kid. And Hostel when it came out, just because you can imagine sick fucks wanting to do that.

MediaGuy 02-03-2012 02:51 PM

When I was a kid, there was "Let's Scare Jessica to Death" - the whole thing was creepy, especially the scene in the orchard and the part where the little hedgehog or whatever it was is chopped up in a glass jar...

And Beyond the Door, especially the part where the kids first call out for their mother when the drawers start slamming, and she does the white-eye throat bulge - or the scene reminiscent of when me and my kid sis witnessed our own mom's first epilepsy Grand Mal seizure, and the kids run into her room and though lying on her stomach, she turns her head around 180 degrees with that psycho possessed look:

Tom_PM 02-03-2012 02:57 PM

When I was a kid living on the south jersey shore there was a little movie called Jaws that came out. The boardwalk was much more crowded than the ocean for quite a while.

WeirdHomer 02-03-2012 02:58 PM

Quentin Tarantino made me want to be a criminal....... does that count?

scarlettcontent 02-03-2012 03:03 PM

Clockwork Orange was quite feaky as a child

2MuchMark 02-03-2012 03:08 PM

Lots of movies scared the shit out of me as a kid. Scanners, Carrie, and The Legend of Hell House. None of them traumatized me, however "Silent Running" which I first saw at 9 years old, always stuck with me. It's not a horror movie but the idea was so plausible it scared just the same.

kristin 02-03-2012 03:19 PM

Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I had a dream that Jason came and carved down my back with a pizza cutter when I was little.

Can't watch that shit.

The Ghost 02-03-2012 03:19 PM

Faces of Death.

Independence Day - It still scares me how this gung-ho piece of shite wasn't slammed more for being one of the most offensive films ever made.

For me, just the scene where all the coffins and bodies are popping up into the swimming pool and through the floorboards.

yeah, a zombie movie for me too - zombies dawn of the dead I think it was called.... the shopping center, the guy getting the top of his head cut off with a chopper blade... I was like what, 8 or something :helpme

also around the same period, some kid brought a vhs in that was really disturbing... scientific monkeys. A monkey was fixed to a table - it had a hole in it, with the monkey's head above the table fixed into position with a scaffold thing, and the body below it. It's skull was cut off revealing its brain. The scientists were probing the brain with things and the monkey was going fucking ape-shit under the table, banging it kicking shit out - you can imagine - but it couldn't move its head as it was fixed in place and its arms and legs were out of harm's way under the table.

Yeah, that was pretty goddam traumatic :Oh crap

Yuck, I remember that episode as a kid, but I think it's a lot scarier watching as an adult! I'm not letting that guy anywhere near my Maytag.

If I remember correctly (from a gazillion years ago) Arnold's friend WAS abused by the guy but once Arnold told his dad they were able to stop it from continuing. Very sad and disturbing episode, but hopefully it raised awareness and helped some kids.

seeandsee 02-03-2012 05:40 PM

Freddy, Friday13, Werewolf movies and Dracula, golden age of horor movie!

globofun 02-03-2012 05:43 PM

Jaws when I was 12, and Evil Dead when I was 16!

And this last year......it's not a movie, but a tape from the exorcism of Anneliese Michel (the real Emily Rose)

DO NOT WATCH THE LAST ONE!
You will be traumatized for the rest of your life (you have been warned) :)

I'll probably get teased for this, but this scene still gives me a chill more than any movie I have ever watched, including every horror movie.

As a kid I was scarred...deeply. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

...and for fucks sake it isn't even scary!

(I still get a chill down my spine though)
