From boring wordpress > super sexy paysite wordpress

I know lots of sites are using wordpress for paysites, not just tube sites.
Been searching around here and google-fu to see how it's done but so far I've got no idea how to do it without another CMS plugin or overhaul, like the following.

I was looking at adultsitecms and heard the code was too strict so you can't make the site nice looking without shit ton of time investment, it doesn't work with most plugins and has 0 customer support.

I also saw aWhiz, which looked ok but some forums said it had similar issues to ASCMS.

What plugins does one need to go from basic, normal wordpress to a paysite with the following functions/features/stuff?

-Signup/login that works with CCbill
-Membership information and setting up membership types/lengths etc
-Auto creation of photo galleries
-Creation of thumbnails
-Auto zips for members to download photosets (not necessary but nice)
-Auto creation of video pages
-Plugins to display latest photo/video sets on tour page, main page etc.

Apparently all this stuff is done by both of those companies, but if I can do it all in wordpress without having to use them that would be amazing. Advice? Links?

i had a guy do a custom wp theme for like 150 I think. works great for a paysite

I'm still working with a couple of webmasters who use Wordpress to list the plugins and put together a clean package, but ...

-Signup/login that works with CCbill

Strongbox sits nicely between CCBill and Wordpress.

-Membership information and setting up membership types/lengths etc

Do membership lengths in CCBill.

of course it exists. Take a look at http://flamine.com and its ultra high quality themes. It does EVERYTHING you mention (well, in fact that's like 1% of what it does). You can take a look at a simple yet powerful adult template at http://www.amatish.com . You won't be able to see content, so log in at the top of the page with user=test and pass=user1234 . It's just a fast simple theme, but that was the idea: to show how fast you can modify it to make it look ANY WAY you want. And I mean ANY WAY, it has no limits at all :)

edit: I forgot: you may find interesting that it creates from and to ANY video format and faster than any other script in the market. More or less 2 minutes for 5 different formats from 1Gb video source, which is unheard of if you ever used any other CMS. Took us 2 years to develop that! :)

btw, don't pay attention to those saying you just need a members script and nothing else. It simply isn't true, as I guess you already figured out. You need (to the very least)

a) a great backend: you need everything to be fast and easy
b) great automation: you need your content to be created and handled without issues
c) a great front end: your site should work great. But, more important: IT HAS TO SELL
d) a great membership script: this is what glues everything in a package
e) a great architecture: are you going to use 2 themes (one for members and one for guests?) are you going to use virtual members areas? real members areas? tube style? reality? a mix? will you have social features? will you interconnect all of them? if so, how? how are you going to handle content? how will you deliver it? how will you protect it? what about alternative devices?

This is just the tip of the iceberg of what you should ask for TO THE VERY LEAST. If someone tells you "get a plugin and you'll be set" ... well, I wouldn't be very confident. I mean, I did this for many years and I know it's simply impossible, whoever tells you a plugin replaces marketing, aesthetic and sales tools should show you where and how did they apply it first :2 cents:

Whats it like behind the scenes? I need to make sure its easy to navigate and operate from the back end. The website doesn't list a price for it either

You should be able to do it for free. You may need to think of wp install for tour(s) and one for members.
You would just have to pay for a designer if you need/want one.

Abbie 02-03-2012 11:10 PM

You could check out http://www.magicmembers.com/

it won't do anything by itself, you need a site first. I'm pretty sure you already know image is very important ;)

yup, just do an install for the tour and another one in the "member's" folder. the CCBill script protects the members folder.

Yeah. it was done automatically with our set ups and strong box was like 10 minutes to add. for them. lol.
I love being able to use straight wordpress with some add ons for a members site. Easy to use and free.

I certainly hope he's okay - he was the only guy who was capable to help me with integration of my site back in 2012. Last I heard from him he was dealing with his partner with mainstream sites - and has no intention of doing something for adults.
I tried to get in touch like year ago, but he's not responding on ICQ anymore.

Very, very nice guy - I wish him all the best.:2 cents:

Wordpress + CCBill + S2members = Awesome :)

rogueteens 09-08-2014 08:35 AM

easiest way - have one WP install for the tour and another for the members area.
