DWB 02-05-2012 11:56 AM

Amazing. Talk about choosing the right option.

epitome 02-05-2012 12:18 PM

Facebook will be dead tomorrow, just like MySpace, blah, blah, blah ... never mind the fact that MySpace was bought for 3x the guy who fucking painted murals will make.

It's 8 years old, but everybody is just itching to jump onto the next big thing. All 800 million active users are just dying for something else.

If you were right, G+ would be today's Facebook, it is not.

Regardless of if and when FB dies, that guy scored more than he could possibly imagine.

Shotsie 02-05-2012 12:33 PM

Dude's a complete fuck-up, too.

baddog 02-05-2012 01:17 PM

hmmm, puts an entirely new perspective on it for sure. I wonder how long it will be before we read about him getting ripped off or dying.

Peter Lynch talks about that phenomenon in his book, "one up on wall street." Its a big red flag. Classic sign of a bubble forming.

AllAboutCams 02-05-2012 08:56 PM

glad someone is making money

cooldude7 02-05-2012 09:51 PM

It's hard to believe some of the ways people are getting rich these days, when some guy has to shovel shit in a ditch for his entire life to make 0.1% of 200 million.

It's not hard to believe at all.

It's as simple now as it was 100 years ago. If you are a star you get paid; if you are a cog you get shit. Anyone with 4 limbs from darkest Africa can shovel shit in a ditch. The number of talented artists who can deliver what Facebook asked for is microscopic.

Chosen 02-06-2012 03:14 AM

Exactly. But it's not only talent we're talking about, it's about opportunity. And then it's about taking the opportunity. When talent, meets preparedness, meets opportunity... that's when success occurs. Shoving shit in a ditch has none of those factors. Yet people still complain about "rich people getting richer... poor people getting poorer..." blah blah blah...

Nobody wants to innovate. Nobody wants to use their brains. Let's redistribute all the wealth so nobody has the opportunity or the motivation to go out and achieve greatness. Yeah, that'll fix it! :)

You guys that compare Facebook to Myspace have no idea what you're talking about. They shouldn't be mentioned or compared together.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's a good artist. The style of his artwork doesn't appeal to me personally, but I can appreciate his talent. But, like most artists, his personal life seems to be a wreck.

Well it is not as if he just found out he had facebook stock. He has known about it for years and no doubt been calculating and maybe even leveraging his eventual potential payday all this time.

Pipecrew 02-06-2012 08:22 PM

He sold half for 10 million a few years back. So it would have been 400 million
