Newbie wants to start a tube website..
 

Hey guys..
I am new to this scene and would like to start a tube website...
I am really embarrassed to say that barely know anything, but I am willing to learn and I am fast learner..

Can you guys tell me a few keywords and tips that would give me a good start when i start my search about this business..(also the setting up and running costs)

All I know is that I need a domain name.. a tube script,, and a programmer..

get domain at moniker or namecheap. make It something brandable and short.

get Smarttubepro (or Mechbunny if you can afford)

Use sponsor hosted videos, make sure to write new descriptions and titles for the videos.

Buy some feeder traffic and get some trades going

Open a couple of blogs that you can trade hardlinks from but point the backlinks to the tube.

If you want to make your own go with this script, http://www.mechbunny.com or smart tube pro.

For hosting go with Amerinoc, Webair or Certified Hosting.

You can also use wordpress or go with the http://www.hostedtube.com option.

SD. Spend a month doing a lot of research before doing anything.

Yes I know you're raring to go but the best thing for you now is knowledge. You need to know who you'll promote, how they pay, their samples, SEO and finally how to read stats to make sure the best converters are at the top. Not always the ones people like to watch for free and go do something else.

Then there's adverts. Who will you have as advertisers, what are their rates, what are they selling.

Then buying traffic.

These are things you can learn and improve with experience, still there are a few obvious people you need to avoid.

This is the same information that should be given to all newbies, online and offline, porn or selling fish in a market. Research before you do anything else.

If you're willing to learn and a fast learner. It won't take long.

Don't jump into the deep end until you can swim or at least read the book "How to swim".

PornerBros is giving you good advice as well. Experienced people are finding it hard these days. Don't spend a penny until you know a lot more.

As a newbie you don't need the expense of a tube, start with blogs and generating traffic by submitting videos to the current tubes.

do it out of love, maybe money will come, but not likely, but if you are doing something you love then at least you have that :2 cents:
