I wanted to know if you guys been there? I wanted to ask the following question:

Is it hard to survive over there?

No idea about prices but in the bigger cities it's not "hard" to survive lol

i suppose that its similiar to indonesia...;]

Kinda hard if you don't know any locals there and don't speak the language. They are not good in English + if you're not with Vietnamese friends you will be ripped off with everything you buy/do.

Edit. Oh I see you are from Indonesia, probably less rip-off if you're not white

If you like a city on a beach, check out Danang. LOTS of places there for rent and it's a rapidly growing city.

Check out indanang.com. Not sure how the prices are, but it may give you some ideas.

With any new place, I'd suggest getting something short term first so you have time to be there and find the right area. Locking yourself into a long term lease without being there first is always a bad idea.

Internet is everywhere, don't know about apartments though, we were living in hotels...

Easy to live there but lot of red tape to do business if you want to settle down

True but what's the speed like?

From what I've read you'll be lucky to get a 1mb connection in most areas, that would feel like going back to dialup :disgust

An entire culture survives there, they even built a nation!
