Linkspun for blog trades
 

I checked linkspun sites and the whole system and found mostly banner farm blog sites. Is this really a good place to do trades for new blog sites? Any recommendation?

Blog owners are still too conservative to use linkspun :)

most bloggers (including myself) hide their good blogs and show only link farm blogs on linkspun...

other way I'd had to decline 99% of link trades...

I use Link Spun for all of my blog trades, but you really have to weed through the bullshit sites to trade with the good ones. When I first started using it there was a ton of good webmasters using it, now I have to decline about 75% of requests. I don't trade with dating or webcam sites, link farms, or really shitty splogs. There's still plenty of good webmasters on there and you can find some good link trades...just gotta put a little more work into it.

I keep my good blogs for trading with webmasters I know, my own related blogs and from boards :thumbsup

Over time I will be looking into kicking out the people with total crap... Like nothing but PR 1 or less splogs looking for keywords like 'porn'...

Right now we are working on page load times... wish us luck! (and give us a week)

BTW, the blocking feature works wonders... after blocking about 30 people you will get a lot less crap... but like anything else, you have to invest a few dozen minutes up front for a nice experience later.

Same here icqmelon... Blog already made me $140 and I just made it last month... haters gonna hate... Now do that a few dozen times a month and do that for a few years... blog network extravaganza...

Can somebody go surf linkspun and tell me if they notice any improvement in speed? Particularly on the view trade page.

Speed will be improved many times over in the next few weeks... Amerinoc is on board with making that job one. The better and busier TradeSpun/LinkSpun get the more advertising they get with every page load. If you aren't afraid to load pages because of time to load, they get more exposure...

I really can't thank Amerinoc enough for all of the work they have put in with time and hardware!

No because in my profile says dont request multiple trades at once or you will be denied and blocked.So far i cant think of any who actually bother to follow that rule.

I can see drastic improvement in speed now,usually i can see even microsecond speed upgrade but here we talking about seconds.

Developer and I just went over code and made changes yesterday and will do more over the coming weeks... Not to mention the host is now throwing in one of their techs...

A lot of traders come in and add enmasse without having time to read apparently...

Once you have a good deny list going it gets better... Hmm... Maybe I should create some custom deny lists... Don't like tubes, germans, dating, etc? I can just add all of them to your deny list...

For now... more speed tweaks!

I think more important than that, you should add this little feature: make the system send an email when somebody comments a trade or sends a message to me. That's not there right now.

shittier blog link trades have their uses too.

not too hard to block shitty incoming trades and start looking for trades by sorting the high pr blogs. there are a lot of high quality pr blogs open for trades.

I see many users have those white color tube sites with 10-20 clips on it. First I thought that the person was just lazy, but I see so many. Do anyone trade with them? Do Big G. like those sites?

I don't, links from such crappy sites more harm than help.

I personally steer clear of those types of sites as well... No content... Nothing for Google to eat... Actually I think it makes Google gag on those...

Out of the 290 trade requests I had I deleted about 200 of them. I also blocked about 5 or 6 of the user making the requests.

The trades that were left were pretty damn solid. Lately I have been surfing their sites to make sure they aren't linking to those crap sites as well and to make sure they are updating to some degree.

Then again.. lately I have just been working on the site looking for speed tweaks and simple tweaks that add a lot of value.

I just noticed that thunder-ball.net expired....this can't be a good sign. I use linkspun now only anyway but what happens to the old trades???? Shit out of luck???
