I used to like them and it seems the stats where fairly accurate, perfect for hosted blogs etc. - These days they are a mess though.

I have Analytics and StatsCounter on a HostedTubes site. The SC stats are just off the wall, they do not even make sense.

Oh well....

Wasn't that like a button at the bottom of everyones site long ago? Those things never stick around very long. Probably held back by trying to evolve but still keep their users from 1998, never works.

I use it for keeping track of total uniques across my entire blog network and use Google Analytics for individual blogs.

Install AWstats and forget this 3rd party shit.

No good for hosted blogs, tubes etc.....

piwik.. and you will wonder why you left stats to a third party.

http://statcounter.com/ is working fine for me...

I use statcounter but make sure to do server logs as well for anything I need real accurate count on.

I keep looking at it and promising I will install it - It looks like it might be hard work though, so I put it off.....

Maybe I will do it today - I have been playing with DNS settings and redirects all morning so I am in a 'Techy' frame of mind.

statcounter.com is great site but recently is not very accurate...

use something like piwik that you host yourself for much better control of your stats

I like webalizer, it's light and accurate.
