Aren't both of those regional, requiring your company to be located in the US and/or UK? At least .us is...

doesn't matter then. it's not a local product - unless it's supposed to be all girls from one country.

.co.uk used to carry more weight than other country level domain but I think these days they only carry more weight within the UK same as .US probably does in the USA, for local traffic anyway.

.us does require proof you are trading from the US but I think anyone can register .uk still.

I still use some .co.uk to good effect on a few sites, but mainly for local targeting.

For seo i have no clue but .co.uk sounds way more legit in my opinion. A lot of big business sites are using that name. .us just sounds like spammy sites to me.

I agree. .us is a joke, and just another bullshit license to print money, like every other domain extension that isn't com/net/org or a country code TLD.

SEO aside, if a site is specific to the US or not 'other country' specific, use .com, even if it means choosing a different name.

I guess you could always use both .us and .co.uk, pointing to the same site.

.us is crap. .co.uk is much better
