Hey content peeps! Sneak preview of industry game changer....$$$$$
http://www.paidperview.com/
Official announcement to come and I am sure my marketing staff will yell at me! So far to date we have signed 10 of the biggest studio's and content libraries to Paid Per View. In a nuttshell you get a split of advertising rev wherever you content is displayed on our networks. :pimp |
Sounds Interesting...
I will have one of my guys make an account :) |
great idea Dave.
can you give an estimate of what the producer will receive per 1000 views of his video? |
Did i hear "$$$$'?
|
Very interesting, Dave. What's the split?
From the FAQ: How much will I be paid?: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit... |
Signup form is giving us an error....

should all be corrected by when we launch it. |

The website WILL have all the info, we've been testing with the bigger studios for the last 90 days.
|
Im videotaping myself as we speak. Awesome.
|
Surely you know what the split is if all these big studios are testing it?
Or are they on a bro %? |
the itunes of porn?? ;)
|
Please post in this thread when you know the payout details? It sounds interesting.
|
Also, here's something more for your FAQ. What happens if we provide video content but are not happy with the returns. Can we take back the rights for you and partners to display the videos? Can you promise they are removed from your servers, etc?

videos under 10 mins = 20% videos under 20 mins (but over 10) = 25% Videos over 20 mins = 30% |
The possibilities with a system like this are amazing and the potential of combing it with the other things you guys have been releasing... wow. Nicely done.

:) It really sounds like a great idea, but with payouts that low, I don't think I'll be taking advantage of it. |

you have to remember though, this is not an instant gratification like selling a PPS, or like selling the rights to a dvd, this is rev share, so you have to look at the big picture. You have to look at what your video is going to make in a year, in two years, well at least over time. |
Quote:
you want full length videos - it shouldn't matter if the video's full length is 12 minutes or 35 minutes. |
Quote:
think about this, we are offering up 30% of our money to producers. how many porn companies do you think spend 30% of their revenues on content. Or give 30% of their revenues to producers? |
Quote:
there is a lot more here than just raw views. to me, the value of your content is a derivative of several variables including length, quality, talent ETC. although you are right, a great short clip can get more views than a long scene. a long scene promotes increased time on site, increased time with ads displayed in the users field of view, and the users knowledge that their access isn't going to get cut off right before the good part. So, although it is certainly possible for a shrot video to generate more advertising revenue, there are other advantages to longer videos that you have to consider, and we chose to compensate for those advantages. |
This is a new concept and people will not understand but those that get it will make $$.
Then everyone will be doing it. |

Nice stuff guys.
We have a few videos let us know when its ready. |
On top of PPV if you have an affiliate program we would sign up and run a banner under your videos like so, linking to you via our link code:

like Dave said, a lot of people arn't going to get it, but others will, and they will make good money by doing so. |

It's odd, it reads that you are keeping up to 80% of the money rather than buying content at 95%. Good deal for you, I can see. But quit trying to spin it as a charity for poor hard done by producers. Really. :) |
Great idea, with some % adjusting you guys have the chance to get a lot of content owners on board :thumbsup
|
PRs Dave, Glen, and Phil:
Is this an expansion of your porn.com program? It is 30% as well, however all are 30% not just above 20min. We inked on that a week or so ago - can we dovetail into this? |

to be honest, that makes it worth while. |

In essence you are sharing some of the ppc revenue you generate? Is that the gist of it?
Would our partner banners still run on the player page for our videos as well? Would our branding remain intact? |
Too late to edit my previous post... this does sound like a great deal. Please count Team Homegrown onboard if possible.
|
We just signed up.
Our cash program is in the sig. Thanks, Team PR RK |

For every impression it is $0.01 so this would be the most expensive Tube site traffic around or that I've seen. If a producer could get $0.01 for each impressions produced at a major tube site, that would be 1998 all over again, tell me where to signup...:winkwink: |
I want in

That PPV now sounds like a free bonus if you look at it that way :2 cents: Quote:
Unless I'm reading it wrong ... that sounds like a good deal in today's market :thumbsup :thumbsup |
I think that producers could be shooting themselves in the foot by signing up for this. Why would anyone want to sign up and pay full price for a site when they can watch all of the content for free. Now I know that no site would put all of their content out there on this tube site but with so many full length movies on this tube site no customer would feel the need to pay for any one site. Most customers love variety.
The advertising revenues would have to be substantial to cover the loss of sign ups. Now I know that all of you might say "yes but these are extra customers you would not have gotten any other way" but that's an old argument. Todays porn surfers know all about tube sites, illegal download forums, etc. Just my two cents. You all might get rich and prove me wrong. |

Homegrown Video still buys amateur videos
Quote:
We try and keep our Homegrown Video line true blue real deal amateur and use the pro-am stuff for our other niche themed series. If you don't mind my asking, were you looking at Homegrown Submittals? |
Quote:
It would be money you were previously not making before. If you submit to tubes and still haven't reached a worthwhile conversion ratio from the banners to your site, then watching your video get one million impressions or whatever won't be so disconcerting because you actually will be getting paid for people that looked at your scene but didn't go on to buy a membership. We have dialed in conversions and know that getting paying customers from tubes is possible, regardless of it being free. So, the idea that we could make $$$ everytime a person watched a clip is icing on the cake. |
