I found the kid who stole my Canon T3i here in the DR
Going through some stock footage of this beach scene I'm editing for toticos and I found a very familiar looking fellow with MY camera... and yes its my canon T3i it has the flipout LCD, and i always put 3 knots in my camera neckstraps which were visible in the video. this cat doesn't look like he can afford a $1000 camera and i've been shooting with this piece of shit canon Vixia in the meantime but it gets the job done and at least its got autofocus unlike the SLR. Even if he could you can't buy that kind of shit here it's too 3rd world... and he sure as hell looks like the guy i caught in my house who jumped out the bathroom window. So what to do, what to do... make him part of my website tour of course... site still in draft phase but will be up @ end of the month when my designer polishes it off. I think it adds some real authenticity to the site :)

Run it on Craigslist everyday.

Skinny kid. Why didn't you just grab him and handle business?

this is a great story - fun read... you should post the original thread too
sorry to laugh at your misfortune but you seem like a cool mofo hope you get the thief! |
Yeap, print a bunch of color pics of that and post them everywhere near where u saw him.
|
Go look for him than. But I think you're too scared to do anything about it.
|
i remember reading the orginal thread..you got a nice pad and this fucker climbed the wall and a few people tried to blame the model you were shooting.
im sure you will see this cat ..dont go overboard when you find him ! |
wait, you took a picture of him but didn't confront him on holding your property?
|
Fuckin' Toticos ...

not sure about the gfy thread. As for why I didn't grab the dude on the spot, I wasnt 100% sure it was my camera, or the guy... until i reviewed the footage at home. But dominicans like many people are creatures of habit. They'll return to the same spot and do the same shit, I'll see this fool again |
I'm a pretty calm guy and don't tend to get pissed off or violent. But, I must say, I don't know how you restrain yourself in a situation like this. To have someone violate my home, steal my stuff, and if I remember correctly your family was in the house, right? You're a better man than me, I wouldn't be able to hold it in after all of that.

Nice shot of him. I'm sure you will find him. Good luck bro. Just be careful, he doesnt look like a typical dominican thug but he could be dangerous. Its just a camera.
|
good luck with this :thumbsup

banging chicks is fun
|
probably cheaper to just get his head cut off
|
I wanna come party in DR with you!
|
or he bought it from the thief... stolen property gets sold pretty quick.
|
Sorry for your loss, having something broken or disappear is one thing. Having something deliberately getting stolen from you is a whole other...
This makes me curious to who on here has committed murder out of spite and who on here has done significant vindication. ...this is why I would never be a lawyer. I known of someone who's ex allegedly killed a lawyer (they could never prove it) in a custody battle. |

DR street justice.
Pay a bunch of locals to pin him down and teach him a lesson. Maybe cut a finger off. |
I'd spend $2,000 on trying to catch the little fella.
Go get him and keep us posted on how you go. Good luck!!! Dave |

Rent a boat, take him offshore about 20 miles, toss some blood in the water and toss his worthless ass overboard......mission accomplished :2 cents:
