Not bad. You have the content, which is one of the main pieces to the SEO puzzle.

I personally like brighter themes. I tend to chop of the theme I am using with pictures relating to the products which I promote (I would at least replace your header image with something else).

Make sure you put your ad space to use also on the right sidebar (underneath the menu items).

You are using images in your posts which is good. I might add a bit more, maybe some call to action buttons and/or larger action links.

But it looks like you are off to a good start!

I'd think about having less posts on the first page, that wall of text is a bit intimidating. maybe making it so only 2-5 posts per page?

If you don't want to change themes you could replace the images under the title to something the same size but more relevant than the stock images.

Surfers won't stay. It has nothing to grab their attention. They see a pine cone and think ?????????

Getting traffic is a waste of time if you don't keep and convert it.
