Stadium Arcadium is one of the best albums I've ever listened to and "I'm with you" is starting to grow on me... Do you guys like them?

I enjoy their studio work . . . in concert, not so much.

I saw them back in '94 when they were one of the opening acts for the Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge Tour. I was actually really looking forward to seeing them but was extremely disappointed. But, like I always told my kids, just because the guy in the studio can mix well does not mean that will hold true in a live performance.

I love RHCP - live and on wax...





My only complaint is their smelly socks. I wish they would change those crusty things a little more often... :helpme

Love 'em, but went to see them in concert once in Hamburg and they only played for about an hour. I felt robbed...

I'm a huge fan - I saw them live a few times (and they are back in Toronto this year so will probably go see them again).

They aren't the best "live" band - but their songs are definitely in favorites and have a special place on my MP3 player.

Prefer their older stuff to the stuff they do these days...

Their new stuff is ok, what I've heard of it anyway.

its' all shit after bloodsugarsexmagic.. well maybe a little harsh, because its still better than just about any other rock stuff coming out in the last 10 years but its nowhere near as edgy and a lot more commercial and girly.

Agreed, great studio album band but when I saw them live about 8 years ago they were brutal! Anthony Kedis sounds totally different live than he does in studio.

I like their older stuff,the newer stuff sounds too familiar

I have tickets for their current tour in Europe, this summer. I wonder will they only play 1 hour this time as well?

I'm old school in that I still feel Mother's Milk is their best album. They newer stuff is ok, but they are starting to get a little stale sounding to me.

Love them. Can't wait to see them again. I had tickets for the end of this month at Staples Center in LA but they cancelled and rescheduled until August. :-(

I saw them play live in the 80's in a bar with about 200 people or so, never was a big fan though :2 cents:

Ive seen them a few times and they are not the greatest live band although one of their shows (late 80's) was pretty good.. My wife and I went to see them about 10 years ago (last time I will ever pay to see them) and they did the same shit. Foo Fighters opened which in my opinion stole the show. Then RHCP came on and played for 45 minutes and left. I had backstage passes because my friend worked for jam productions. We were told they didnt want to see anybody that night. I said, "well they sure as fuck cant be tired from the show, they only played 45 minutes"

That kind of ruined the whole band for me.

What are you doing listening to stations that play that filth? RHCP seems like a breath of fresh air for you. :thumbsup

Do they have a new guitarist? I was channel surfing the other day and came across a live RHCP show, looked like a different guy?

Saw them on their Californication tour, best concert experience of my life. I was front row center in a standing room only pit rocking my fucking socks off.

With John Frusciante they were awesome. Live they kinda suck except when they play tracks from Mother's Milk.

Like a lot of those responding I love the peppers, but was not impressed with them live. I have seen them twice; once with Dave Navarro and the second time With John Frusciante. The first time it was pretty bad, but the venue kind of sucked and you couldn't hear or understand Anthony at all. The second time was a lot better and the show had some good moments, but it was still not all that great.

no doubt, it's a really cool band, I like them!

They're okay and have some catchy shit, but the lead singer's voice gets pretty fucking annoying after a while. :2 cents:
