I was reading a book, I forget which book it was, but it was saying that Target had 1 of the best and earliest data analytics that allowed them to ship coupons based on buying patterns. If your buying pattern suggested you might be going on a vacation, they would ship you coupons for more vacation based items, etc.

Target sure is good at targetting
