(Chisora arrested by the German police BTW)

http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/02/...german-police/

"British heavyweight Dereck Chisora has reportedly already been arrested by the German police at the Munich airport, according to the guardian.co.uk, and former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is being sought by the police for questioning in connection to their brawl during the post fight press conference on Saturday after WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko defeated Chisora in Munich, Germany.

The Guardian reported the police saying “Mr. Chisora was arrested after police went to the airport where he was at approximately 10:30 this morning.”

The issues that the German police were concerned about is Chisora’s statements about wanting to shoot Haye that he made during the post fight press conference. The comments were caught on video and Chisora wasn’t shy about being heard. He made the comments in a loud voice and repeated it. In addition, he also said he wanted to burn Haye, although he could have meant that in a different sense such as wanting to get back at him. It’s hard to know for sure.

Haye came to the post fight press conference with what appeared to be the purpose of trying to pressure Vitali into agreeing to fight him. However, Vitali’s manager Bernd Boente cut Haye off, telling him that he had lost his chance and suggesting that he fight Chisora instead. Chisora and his promoter Frank Warren jumped at the chance of a Haye-Chisora fight.

Haye then pointed out that Chisora was unsuitable because he had lost his last three fights, which wasn’t actually true. He had lost three of his last four fights, not three in a row like Haye was saying. Chisora took issue with this, and dared Haye to say it to his face. Chisora walked up on Haye and got smashed in the face with what looked like his fist wrapped around a beer bottle or some kind of bottle. Chisora went down and got back angry and saying that Haye had hit him with glass. Haye briefly fought with Chisora’s trainer before picking up a camera tripod and heaving it at them. It unfortunately hit his own trainer/manager Adam Booth, cutting badly above his left eye. After all of this, Haye disappeared off camera and that’s when Chisora made comments about wanting to shoot him. "

The best is how kliczko is sitting there just laughing

k0nr4d 02-19-2012 07:11 AM

Speaking of which i just noticed that everyone calls him Klitschko...
I guess that's just so people pronounce it properly or what?

JFK 02-19-2012 07:42 AM

Chisora is an embarrasment to the sport, so he went the distance with Klitscko, still his antics suck.

Scott McD 02-19-2012 09:01 AM

He's just trying to stay in the limelight while he can. Pity he never got knocked the fuck out last night. Klitschko was pretty poor i thought, even though he beat him...

DWB 02-19-2012 09:21 AM

Klitschko tore a tendon in his left arm in round 5 they announced today and could only properly use his right from that point. for that he did pretty good

Wilsy 02-19-2012 09:57 AM

I dislike both Haye and Chisora but would like to see a fight happen between them after them antics. I think they both talk a good fight... No one rates either of them as much as they rate themselves, none of them will be remembered in 10 years time apart from maybe that scuffle last night lol

Oh you actually believe that, that is as bad as when David Haye said he had a broken toe when he fought Vitali.. How come you did not hear the corner talking to him about it during the fight?

I hate it when boxers come up with shit excuses like that after the fight. Simple fact is he was not on form and he knows he should have finished Chisora and not gone the distance so now he has this miraculous injury. Broken Toes and Tore tendons absolute rubbish for not doing what they said they would do..

It was funny though in that press conference when everyone was shouting "Hey David how's the Toe" hahahaha

In poland it's kliczko, but i think Кличко would be pronounce Kłyczko so in english shoudl be more like quitczko

Dirty D 02-19-2012 10:16 AM

Chisora is a fool.

The Klitschko brothers behaved professionally at all times.

This should be a lesson for Chisora on how Champions should conduct themselves.

Wilsy 02-19-2012 10:38 AM

This is a better video of it.. and if you asked for my opinion Haye did hit Chisora with a bottle in hand if you watch you see him hit chisora with a left and then you see a splash as he hits him with a right which is the hand he was holding the bottle in.. It looks like he punched him with the bottle in hand not that he physically hit him with the bottle.

The sound in this video is awful

the toe thing was indeed funny...

and do i believe him? i dont know... but i am following them since almost day one since they used to live and train in Hamburg right around the corner from where i worked. at that time they did fights in their gym on Sundays where they had like 100-200 visitors

and not once i had the feeling they needed to make something up to find an excuse - even for bad fights.

remember how Vitali was still going even after his face was one bloody mess?

i guess we will need to ask the doctor :winkwink:

and Haye btw is one big jerk himself - let's see if the Police will find him, he cant hide for the rest of his life - lol

Chisora has just been released without charge..

I don't like this crap that fighters come out with after the fight, if he had fought a great fight you could rest assured we would never have heard about any Tendon problem. Just my :2 cents:

Joe Calzaghe used to break his hand in the first few rounds of every fight but you never heard of him complaining about it he just got on with it..

I could be wrong ( it has been known) this is just my opinion..

You are right about Haye though he has got a serious attitude problem i do not know which one of the 2 of them is the biggest prick.. I look forward to the new British talent coming through cause these assholes are not doing boxing any favours over here

I 100% believe Vitali in this case, and you can tell something was wrong just by the way he was fighting. Vitali throws a shit ton of jabs and left hooks in his fights, and right around the 5th round on you can see he doesn't use his left hand at all. The very few times he does use it he immediately shakes it out like something is wrong. For Vitali Klitschko to basically fight one handed from the 5th round on you know something has to seriously be wrong, since his whole strategy throughout his entire career is to keep distance with his left jab while clubbing the shit out of an opponent with his right hand. You can hear Dan Rafael, who is a hell of a respected boxing writer for ESPN, ask during the commentary if Vitali had some kind of personal bet with himself that he could win the fight one handed and stating that he definitely had to be injured. I don't see it as an excuse at all, if anything I respect Vitali that much more because he basically won that fight one handed...

They did talk about it in the corner, if you spoke Russian you would have caught it. And he did fight mostly with his right hand, no famous left jabs at all.

Bottom line is, he won a tough fight, and none of those loud-mouth naggers did.

His last name is pretty straightforward. It's Klichko.

I don't know why they insist on that stupid English transcription.
