Anyone buy jewely for women? Or Women I have a question

I just met a girl and want to get her something special but she doesn't wear much jewelry. Is there a safe bet when it comes to jewelry that all women will probably like?

Why don't you get her some neck rings? You'll have to start her off slow, but eventually you could work her up to twenty or thirty coils.

No, no, no dude...don`t do that. Only give women something when they've earned it.

LouiseLloyd 02-21-2012 02:25 AM

How about an Anklet :Oh crap

Paul Markham 02-21-2012 03:04 AM

Gold chain. Then chain her to the cooker. LOL

ottopottomouse 02-21-2012 04:04 AM

If she doesn't wear much jewellery she probably won't really want jewellery as a gift.

Scat in the Hat 02-21-2012 05:10 AM

Don't do it!!!!!!!!!! It's a trap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly my first thought.

helenaBlue 02-21-2012 06:51 AM

a nice silver bracelet? i'd like that

raymor 02-21-2012 07:26 AM

Look at what jewellery she DOES wear to understand her taste. Also +1 on "if she doesn't wear jewellery, it's probably not the the best gift".

Also +1 on not buying jewellery for a woman you just met anyway. Even if she's REALLY special, which you don't know yet, you need room to go up from here later. If you start with jewellery, what are you going to get her for valentine's day when you two get serious? A car?

brentbacardi 02-21-2012 07:40 AM

From my experience... women who don't wear a lot of jewelry just never had a guy that would buy it for them.

Don't buy jewelry for a girl you just met unless you want a sugar daddy relationship. Sorry but its awkward so DONT DO IT!

But depending on price range and intent would depend on what you get...

Watch, only get if you aren't going to be cheap, if its not quality and her style then dont bother with this, great gift otherwise.

Ring, means commitment, so unless you plan on marrying her, no ring.

Bracelet, these are always good, don't get a corny charm bracelet.

Earrings, these are good but don't pick anything too dangly unless you know thats what she likes.

Hope that helps!

Maybe I like buying my gf stuff if she treats me right.

Nice, I was kind of hoping for more specifics though. Like a heart necklace? Or flower earrings?

No kidding. You just met her and already want to buy her jewelry? That is about as sad as it gets. :2 cents:

baddog 02-21-2012 01:34 PM

I gave it some more thought. You are right, you should show her how special she is. In the 8th grade, these were all the rage.

That should hold her over.

Spunky 02-21-2012 01:54 PM

Get her a large "o ring" like those hippies wear on their wrists.costs like 1.00

My mother bought one of those shortly after I was born. She still has it on her keys to this day.

Ok. You asked, we answered, largely based on you saying "I just met ...". One year my wife needed a car. It happened to be Christmas time so I presented it as a Christmas gift. We were going to have to buy a car anyway, so I figured why not do it at Chtistmas. The next year, I was fucked. I had set a precedent with the car. If this relationship lasts long, you'll want to get better and better gifts. If it doesn't, well that part is obvious.

Imortyl Pussycat 02-21-2012 03:31 PM

if it's been under a month don't get jewelry, you will freak her out. that or she will realize you are an open wallet for her. first few weeks flowers are a really nice way to let a girl know you are thinking of them and they are special to you.

CYF 02-21-2012 03:32 PM

You just met her and you're already buying jewelry? That's your problem, not the "what to get her" part.

I think I can safely say that no, not all of us ladies have 1 thing we just cream for jewelry wise. And it's best to get to know her likes before just buying something. Or else you run the risk of buying something she'll hate. And she'll just smile because you were sweet and thoughtful when really she hates it.

Those diamonds will look boss when the rhodium plating wears off and they're set in a brown bracelet.

True story. If you are gonna buy a woman something fancy, stick to platinum. Or use your pimp hand and make picking up the check at Waffle House SEEM like platinum.
