The Lambo isn't practical

Usually people that have these types of cars have others as daily drivers

edgeprod 02-22-2012 11:31 AM

Haha and the sky is blue? Ours had 1,800 miles on it after 3 years.

Spunky 02-22-2012 11:32 AM

I compare Lambos to a Rolex.nice to look at but a status symbol that you take out once in awhile

fuzebox 02-22-2012 11:34 AM

I'd totally daily drive a Lambo. Fuck groceries and airport pickups!

nikki99 02-22-2012 11:41 AM

that is the reason why I don't have a Lambo

Plus Lambo drivers don't drive through wet cement, so you won't have to worry about that anymore:winkwink:

topwebmodels_chris 02-22-2012 12:27 PM

must be nice to just have a lambo kicking it in the garage in addition to the car....

sweetcuties 02-22-2012 12:33 PM

I'll prob never be on that level and thats ok... Why doesn't Lamborghini bring back the Countach or Diablo? An updated version :winkwink:

Usually, in addition to the car(s), not car ... most of the Lambo owners have 2 or more Lambos as well. :thumbsup

Rochard 02-22-2012 12:54 PM

I had a Cobra that was low and fast. Fun car to drive, but a pain in the ass. Just too much of a beast to drive on surface streets daily.

This is why I have a huge truck. I'm not afraid of anything. More than once I've popped a curb and gone around dumb people.

I can almost hear the whining after you get cited for it.

RebelR 02-22-2012 01:09 PM

I figure.. if you can afford a lambo, you can afford another car to run around town for groceries and airport pickups.

The Countache 5000s will always be the sweetest sounding car in my ears. I remember having the poster on my wall when I was 8.

Are you serious? What a waste, ridiculous. Why buy in that case, rent it once in a while.

Same here, their new models seem unforgetable... I also had a poster of one growing up. I'll prob get some framed art in my next house.

which lambo did you have man?

2MuchMark 02-22-2012 01:48 PM

Lets face it they really aren't that nice looking. Something about them reminds me of 80's retro or something. If I wanted a supercar I would look at a bmw or audi or the new Acura NSX. The new NSX especially has beautiful style I think.

Lambo or ferrari are on the different level than bmw, audi or Honda.

If you say so. We daily drove our Viper. That had 34,000 miles when we sold it last year.

2004 Gallardo E-Gear, black. Bought it to replace my wife's Viper or my Porsche, but then we ended up parting ways. Merry Christmas to me! Sold all of our cars and moved to Florida. Now I want a skateboard.

I always liked how the R8 drove, and I'm waiting anxiously for the BMW i8 to drop, but I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

A consider my Lambo a 3 hour car. Driving it as a daily would be terrible. The 911 could be a decent daily as it's larger inside and has better road clearance. However, can't beat the AMG for a daily driver.

I have to agree with you there. The comfort of the AMG is hard to beat. The 760li's seats hurt my back so much we took a huge loss to trade it back in. The S600 was a close second in terms of comfort for long trips. When I had mine, I drove from CT to FL with minimal breaks, and not a single cramp showed up on my body.

John-ACWM 02-22-2012 02:18 PM

LOL what a shocker.

You would find it very uncomfortable. I drove a Gallardo a couple of years back and it wasn't great. You are a good 3-4 inches taller than me, so you'd hate it.

Yeah I've driven a couple, around town and on a track. Not impressed by the Gallardo at all. I actually like being cozy in a car though, never felt like I didn't have enough leg or head room.

tony286 02-22-2012 06:49 PM

When I worked for a roll royce/ jaguar dealership. I had a customer, he had a Ferrari besides the jag and he said it only came out on perfect days and he never drove it in the city.

V_RocKs 02-22-2012 06:58 PM

I don't understand low to the ground cars...

When the world comes to an end I guess they are lower so I can drive over the top of them?

I figure few could afford NOT to have another car. The lambo costs, what, about $2 - $3 per mile or so in depreciation, etc. So it's a lot less expensive to put miles on a Toyota and keep the lambo pristine.

You've got to be able to catch them first. :winkwink:

I'm not trying to be offensive here, but what didn't impress you about it? I felt like a pimp every time I got behind the wheel, even before the twin turbo mods from UGR.

A few cars aside, my s550 had stupid back leg room I'm happy with my size as far as transport goes.

My home town here has been hit so hard in the past few years that they've cut back on our police department a lot. It's a quiet town, we rarely see the police, and they don't bother much with dumb petty stuff.

It's kind of nice really.

GARY LEE 02-23-2012 11:28 PM

Corvettes and a Ferrari but never had a lambo, I guess I just ain't cool. I would like one though if anybody wants to get me a cool xmas present.

netpreference 02-24-2012 03:50 AM

I probably drive mine once a month now, it really isn't practical to take it out more often with the weather/traffic/shit roads we have in the UK...

Bought an RR Evoque last week to replace my 'everyday' car though which I'm very impressed with so far (and yes, that is my plate :pimp)
