Members Area Webcam Shows - Platform Needed
 

OK I posted this once before, sure it's also been done to death by other people... but hoping I can get some input...

We have a bunch of girls who want to be able to do member webcam shows, as part of their interaction with their sites... in the hope of improving membership joins and also retention...

Also hoping that this will lead to an additional revenue stream for the girls (and of course us taking a split)

Not sure if it would be best to sign up to one of the existing webcam networks... or do it ourselves (and what may be involved with doing it ourselves... )

Anyone got any recommendations ? :helpme

I would like to talk to you about this. Will be away from now for my weekly indoor soccer evening but will be back in a few hours

setting it up yourself if you have a good hosting company isn't difficult UNLESS you want to be able to do private shows and tips. just need Wowza server which most adult hosting companies have and chatroom software. Wowza is only 50 dollars a month.

Dooglas and Mumblez from NNM have a cam network, YourDailyCams, for members only camshows.

CamWithHer/SNR who also posts on NNM has a camshow widget you can put in your members areas - you use their system and your girls can do private shows, SNR takes their cut.

Just to clarify... and I guess we're hoping for a lot here...

We're looking to be able to offer webcam shows for our members firstly...

Secondly we would like the girls to then be able to offer 1-2-1 shows...

And lastly (optional) be able to tap into a network of people... I guess this is only approapriate if we dont do it ourselves...

your wanting to charge your members on solo sites to watch the girls webcam?

I'm also curious in webcam software. We are using I'm Live software right now... But want a better "Different" set-up.

Not exactly... we want to be able to give the members of each site 2 webcam shows a week by the relevent girl free... so like 2 1 hour shows...

If the girl then gets offered 1-2-1 shows then that's a bonus for us and her... and yes the 1-2-1 shows would be paid...

We did have a run on one of the networks with one of our girls... but in fairness by the time they took their split it didnt really leave a great per minute rate for the model and us...

There's a lot of hype about girls earning shit loads, but I really dont get how... unless they're firing fireworks out there ass guys just seem to grab the free stuff... hey it's just like porn :1orglaugh

I guess we'll take a look at some of the platforms out there... but I guess it's going to be hard to find all we want... maybe time to hire ourselves a russian programmer and get it done custom I guess :Oh crap

We went to streamate for the members area shows and it has been a win / win. Members are happy, models are very happy.

It is not uncommon for them to earn $200 during a one hour members only show.

I'd like to make $200 / hr.

I am no cam guru... but .... Russian or domestic.. I would advise against that. There is so much to consider when trying to build and manage your own system.

You made money during a members show ? How did that work... we want to do the member shows free... but then earn money from 1-2-1 shows that might come from them...

Yes... Streamate allows you to broadcast to your site members at no charge, but people on the Streamate site will see a "this model is in a private show" message... they can pay a per minute fee to watch the show your members get for free.

Our models have made up to a couple hundred bucks in an hour's show.

Sounds like the way to go.

Simultaneously broadcast your member's show on MFC and watch the tips come rolling in.

Wow did I fuck that up. we are using Video Whisper not I'm Live. I'm sure the program would be fine If I could find a good programmer to go in and set everything up the way I want.

You can run the stream via Flash. Pricing is pretty reasonable too.

Should be straight forward setting an interface for it too. Then you would just run another script for the text chat for members.

We have tried a number of solutions and, I mean this with zero disrespect to any of the other cam companies , but there is Streamate.. and then a very distant #2.

Running our own was a constant hassle.

I'm loving the sound of that... who's a good contact at StreamMate ?

I didn't use a rep at Streamate... just emailed them and they set it up. It works great, though.

I have been doing this on my site since 1997 and for a time, even let others webcam girls use my video/chat servers. shoot me an email and I can go over some different setups you can use that will cost you tons less then anything you will get on here. Dont spend big money on something so simple. Shoot me an email and I will give you some software tips...its not my stuff so I am not getting anything from it... [email protected]
