Can anyone recomend good ebay/amazon spider software?

I'm looking for a good ebay/amazon spider. Something that will crawl these (and other such) sites to look for unauthorized sales/sellers of our products. Also with the ability to toggle on/toggle off autosending c and d notices.

thanks

Will do

but, looks like it will have to be a custom solution.

nevermind, no such animal exists (above ground anyways)

it seems those guys don't like their sites crawled, hehe

I don't have an answer for you, but your question made me curious. Since you are selling a physical product, how are they getting their hands on it to do unauthorized sales?

Shouldn't be hard to code.

Amazon.com does not respond to take down request.

Amazon.co.uk does very fast.

eBay does not respond either

I work on it everyday

If you fill out like 5 forms and some other stuff, you get a special account to remove any listings that are using your stolen content.
It took me over a month of sending stuff in, but I have this ability.

That would make sense. I just took "unauthorized sales/sellers of our products" to mean that they were somehow selling a legit product.

If I was posting and someone was selling fakes, I'd use the word knock off or something.

Probably just me and too many hours in front of the screen. :)

This could also happen is you sell to limited retailers and have asked them to resell at a specified price (perhaps like louis vuitton). So yo sell to the retailer for $100, tell them they can sell at $200.

One of these retailers sells on to a friend for $120, this friend then opens an amazon store and resells on there for $170. He's now undercutting your entire retail network and also, reselling in an unauthorised capacity since he is not part of your retail network.

That makes sense as well. I sell something that only myself and one other person outside of the manufacturer are authorized to sell, and the price is strictly mandated. It's relatively lucrative, so I wouldn't risk the relationship by doing so, but I certainly could do what you outlined.

This :)

We have a MAP agreement with our distributors and in the agreement they aren't allowed to sell below the MAP unless we're running a brand-wide promotion. We control all amazon and ebay sales. I realize it's not difficult to just manually search these sites each day, was just looking to see if there was a decent spider out there that could ease on the manual burden once we've got a line of products.

I'll get copies when I get into the office.

We had to play the wait on the phone a lot as well. It's not an easy process.

my worry with automating something like this on eBay is it will pick up on all the people who try and get related search results with NOT.

Ceramic Teapot NOT {insert as many brands as you can think of here}
