Masking links in Wordpress - Simple URLs or another plugin?
 

Found this one, what do you guys use?

I'm interested in this mostly to manage links later (to be able to change linkcodes easily when the inevitable shit hits the fan) rather than to pretend like the SE's don't know what I'm linking to.

pretty link sucks compared to wp link engine

Another bump for Pretty Links. I use the lite version and very happy with it.

pretty links is ok, but feature wise, the one i use has much more to offer

Cool fris that's really helpful thanks. What are the things you do with it that you find really useful? I can see you could test various tours easily, or sponsors for that matter with the %'s, and match keywords automatically to links. Do you redirect your chinese traffic and stuff with it?

Are the link restrictions for black hat stuff?

i like the rules, so i can send certain countries to other tours

I just mask links via a php file on my server. As you said, I don't do it to try to fool anyone or anything, but to make it easy on myself when a sponsor goes tits up, and I want to send the traffic somewhere else.

Fris, quick question since I know you also use Smart Links Pro. With the exception of the mobile redirection etc. and for a site that operates in a single market/country, what do you think wp link engine does better over smart links pro?

I had my mind set on smart links pro till you pointed out wp link engine and now I find myself debating between the two.

All I really need is affiliate link cloaking and cross post linking BUT perhaps there are some features on wp link engine that you find invaluable that would make me change my mind.
