would a so called "user" really take the time to re-encode the video just to cut out the watermark?

No, the tube itself, would take the time to use 'Built in' tech software, to do it on behalf of the 'user'...

Some users will because they know it won't get accepted with one.

the scum just keep getting scummier! it's bad enough to steal you shit and post it on a tube but to make sure you don't get any credit or traffic from it really spools me up.

You mean cropped? Some tubes mask part of the video to "hide" the watermark. Fight this by watermarking in each corner of the vid for a 1/4th of the vid

maybe you should have made the argument that the exist of the watermark proves that the content is infringing then.

You created a situation where tube sites decided to not accept videos with watermarks

which in turn caused users to remove them so that they could upload them.

difference is that since fair use existed, a watermark is NOT proof of infringement.

moving the watermark around from corner to corner sounds like a good idea.

i've found a few uploads that put a black box over my watermark and put theirs in it's place. i contacted the owner of the site about it and he said he didn't do it. of course he didn't, why would he ever want to do something like that?

maybe i need to put the watermark right around the gloryhole itself!

if your understanding of that is so limited that this is the best you can think off you really need training.

Here's why they remove the watermark:
Videos WITHOUT watermarks get more views. More views = more $$$ for the tubes. Yes people, tubes make WAY more from selling their ad space than they do from any Content Partner Program. The CCP is just there for if/when their surfer leaves the tube site (they might as well try and get some $ out of it).

Yep. You can outsmart them. Bottom feeders always take the easy road. Make it more work than it's worth and they'll find another video to remove the watermarks on. And the Filipinos that many tube sites are paying to do this, are generally lazy, so they will skip you without question if you make them actually have to work for something. They just want to batch process everything, and if you foil that, you're 10 steps ahead.
